Cousins looking like shit

but he clearly would've let them coast to an easy win if he came in in the 2nd quarter

i'm not trolling, i'm telling it how it is

you think its automatic that the redskins make the playoffs next year or something? or the year after that?

this is what they play for, you dont sit out your best player because he has a chance to get injured

he was hurt, not injured, and there is a difference

you think he was like "no coach i dont think i can play"

i mean shit, he was walking around on the sidelines when cousins was in there, you act like he has 2 broken legs and 3 torn knee ligaments

Seahawks defense kind of got exposed this game. A semi-healthy RG3 was torching them. They also sucked in the redzone. Those runs inside the 5 were terrible

^^ I think it's a case by case decision. I'd agree in cases like when LaDainian Tomlinson went off in San Diego at the end of his window of opportunity, but RG3 has his entire career to consider.

^^ I think its more like when a D gets torched by a triple option defense. If you don't see it and don't practice you'll probably get fucked over a few times. With all the remaining QBs in the playoffs they can go back to just sitting on the pass for the most part (Kapernick probably the exception but I think his running ability is slightly overrated).

I like Seattle's chances against Atlanta a lot. Also, wonder if the media will play up the 2 TOB QBs facing off.

I'm not happy about the seahawks being 2.5 point dogs vs Atlanta. Was hoping for a pick.

I have $50 on Atlanta at 25:1 that I took before the season so I may just let that be my hedge. Hate to bleed value in a game it feels like Seattle should be favored in.

I think the bye hurts as many teams as it helps in the playoffs. Lot of teams start slow. Atlanta played well at the beginning of the season, terrible throughout the middle, and finally regained a little push at the end so they are a hard team to evaluate. Their homefield isn't that huge of an advantage and I think their defense will give Ryan some problems.

no, not at all

most of my opinion on the NFL and football in general is based on not just watching football, but listening to, watching, and reading what current and former coaches and players have to say

a lot more relevant than somebody like face obsessing over spreadsheets, imo

i'd add that based on how cousins looked in his limited minutes, the redskins would've probably lost by even more points if they had yanked griffin earlier

fwiw, Yahoo Sports reported that he'll have another MRI because the results of the one today were inconclusive due to his 2009 ACL tear

Things can get dicey when you retear the ACL in the same knee, especially since he tore the PCL this time too. I'm no Brass Monkey or w/e but I imagine you have to take out the old repair and the associated bone growth and then repair it again.

and ADP tore his ACL and MCL last December and was running over fools 9 months later

PCL is a much worse ligament to tear than MCL. MCL is the side of the knee on the inside of the body, PCL is inside the knee itself. My physical therapist said that PCL and Patella tears were the worst when combined with ACL, but largely I might be talking out of my ass.

the video in that link with Jaws, Herm and Hoge is a pretty good discussion of whether or not RG3 should've been taken out of the game

tl;dw it was a difficult decision

Partial tears...interesting. I tore my ACL and had a severely sprained/strained LCL. Doc almost gave me a cadaver LCL but didn't because he thought it was good enough after he put me under and measured it closer. It still bothers me now so I wish he did replace it bdcause I sometimes have stability worries or the knee will partially give out.

The LCL is kind of a bitch so if that is replaced then RGIII could be in a straight leg brace and on crutches for 6 weeks, which puts recovery even further behind due to advanced mucle atrophy. Then again this is the NFL...
