just watched a few hard raid streams. The raid doesn't seem much different, just a few tweaks to make it pretty hard (which isn't surprising. I don't get why people are so shocked when the raid isn't completely revamped)

highlights:

- cursed hallowed thrall in beginning
- bridge part looks the same just harder enemies i guess?
- deathsinger part is quicker, still manageable with the right strategy
- crota - no chalice, boomers are hallowed, there's a hallowed wizard after each sword

the no chalice part seems most difficult when you throw in the wizard and everything else being harder to kill

^Agreed about the crota part looking the hardest - I think being a titan with blessing of light here is a huge advantage.

I just tried to cheese the first chest in the hard raid. It did appear but I had already gotten the rewards from normal raid so it might only have normal level loot.

the first group to clear it apparently had two 31s. i thought that was interesting. also had three hunters, which i also found surprising.

So i have the pulse, auto, and hand cannon now from CE HM. Once I get the scout rifle, i don't think I'll ever do HM again except maybe the first few parts just for mats. The grind is really not worth it since they are all just bullet sponges. It literally took me 3.5 hours to down Crota on Thursday.

The crota part of the hard raid is very.....frustrating....right now. Every group I get into there seems to be one guy who just assures everyone he knows what he is doing, and then goes and dies 5 times in a row and complains about the game being broken, this that and the other. Meanwhile, I've wasted an hour of my life watching crota splatter this fool across the map over and over again.

Beating it on hard is all about the sword bearer. Get a good one that communicates what he wants and it becomes easy. Also, having everyone with gjallahorns/hunger of crota that are willing to follow instructions.

hunter swordbearers are such a clutch tool. I still haven't seen any posts about the crux of crota popping. Im not to worried about getting it though. I'm still only halfway on the husk of the pit :X

^^yep. They're pretty much the only class that can use the sword without help from anyone else. Locks and Titans both need a bubble behind them to save their ass. Hunters only need someone to pop a shot at one of the boomers every few seconds.

It is definitely amazing how easy a really good swordbearer makes it though. Beat it twice earlier in 3 tries.

Really, what's needed for this raid is simple.

1. a swordbearer that knows what he's doing and communicates.

2. 5 guys with a ton of rockets that know what they're doing.

Problem is that isn't easy to find right now. Usually either nobody has enough heavy or the swordbearer sucks.
