I didn't think so at all. All the normal top clubs were mediocre/disinterested, ton of injuries to good players, not many classic games I can recall off the top of my head, and not even much drama/interest at the other half of the table. Leicester story is cool but it didn't pick up the rest of the league's quality overall.

I guess Spurs couldn't handle the pressure of a title challenge and the pressure of finishing above their rivals. What a hilarious bottle job. Thank god we didn't sign Poch, there is a mentality problem in North London.

The season starts with an own goal from Kyle Walker and ends in an own goal from Chris Smallling.

Both potential starters at the Euro's. Good luck England.

How miserable is it getting no joy even when you're team is experiencing the best period of its existence?

United was so well run for so many years. It's bizarre seeing them run like a rudderless ship now. They spent two years grooming young and talented kids and are basically throwing that all away chasing the bright and shiny.

Mourinho has no time or use for developing kids. The LVG years could have actually been used to build but now they are just two wasted years.

I eagerly await wazza rushing in to White Knight Jose now..

let the hatred flow through you. Its about time we are hated again. Can't wait to see what Mourinho does with a talented group of kids. Rashford, Martial, Shaw and Fosu Mensah have much to look forward to under Jose.

Really, it's just pity

SAF was the better manager and had more success but Wenger will leave Arsenal far better positioned. What history does Mourinho have of being patient? Genuinely curious why you think those kids will even get a chance (besides Martial, who is obviously ready to feature).

Minus fosu mensah, the others are the best at their positions.

You can't know that until its happened. SAF also thought he left us in a good position and to be fair I did too. His signings didn't work out though and we hired Moyes. Rest is history. Arsenal fans keep going on about this but lets wait and see what happens.

Rashford has been phenomenal since coming on. The reason I think he will be useful is because Mourinho likes pacy players on the counter. Rashford has shown enough to be a secondary striker. If the rumors are true and Zlatan is coming then Rashford has an amazing mentor to learn from. Rashford can't lead a PL strike force for the whole season but he is great to come off the bench until he develops fully. I have seen enough of Rashford to say I think he will be a great player if he continues to develop. His composure, link up play, and even hold up play is very very good for his age. We all know he can finish as well.

Shaw is an established player just like Martial. Mou also wanted him at Chelsea. Everyone has been sleeping on Shaw but he was phenomenal before his injury and with Mou I expect more of the same.

Fosu Mensah has size. Something that Mou covets in his defensive players. I am most worried about players like TFM, Borthwick Jackson, Verela, and Periera. These are the guys I hope to see Mourinho give chances. I can see TFM being a crucial Mou player in all honesty, purely because of his physicality. The others I hope can take their chances if they get them.

Honestly does it even count as developing kids when you spend over £30m on transfer fees alone on them? Not saying they shouldn't do it since they have earned the buying power but let's not act like those two (Shaw and Martial) were born and bred United or diamonds in the rough.

As I said, the next time Mourinho has patience with kids will be the first.

^ I am not counting those two as United kids or United bred but United did spend the money on young talent. We were laughed at for Anthony Martial and look at him now. Plenty of people said the same about the transfer fee for Shaw. No they are not United kids but the investment in them is a significant risk and not many clubs in the world would invest in unproven talent for that much money (cough City cough). Bayern is the only other club that comes to mind when investing heavily in young players.

They are not diamonds in the rough but we took a chance on them. Now is that down to luck or an effective scouting department? Probably a bit of both. Arsenal has Anthony Martial leading the line this year and they are likely title winners. Sometimes you just have to take a chance.

I have said it all along, I hope Mourinho gives our kids a chance. He is a smart man and he knows what club he is coming into. Match day fans (apart from the tourists) will want to continue to see kids like TFM and Rashford involved in the first team next season. Mourinho himself has made it clear United is a dream job for him. I am not holding my breath but I sincerely hope Mou buys into the clubs philosophy of nurturing young talent. Any trophies with young kids being heavily involved will feel much more satisfying to us than trophies with Mou's mercenaries. We will enjoy it either way obviously but lets see if United truly lose their identity or if Mou adapts.

I am happy for LVG and the FA Cup. Lingard scoring the winner was the cherry on top honestly. LVG gave us boring football but my god was it a lesson in humility and a resurgence of our values as a club. I will always thank LVG for that and I just hope Mou can build on it as opposed to ripping it apart.

^ is it really that far fetched? Arsenal lacked significant quality down the stretch when Giroud couldn't find a goal. Welbeck hurt and Walcott/Chamberlain not offering much. Do you not think someone like Martial would have made a significant difference in that stretch? Martial has 11 goals and 4 assists in 30 appearances in a United team that was starved of attacking intent or creativity. Most of this also came from the left wing. I imagine with Sanchez and Ozil behind Martial Arsenal could have done much much more. Our team relied on Martial so much more than Arsenal would have too.
