I feel a bit like a jerk for sending that email to my dad. He is the king of not wanting to leave any important info. On your voicemail &/or text. He leaves vague voicemails, says its not a big deal but to call when I can, and thinks based on principle I should always return the call asap. While that may be true he also is notorious for calling ne, leaving a message to call back, to ask me something menial. So naturally I don't always call right back. Well this time he did that same thing on Saturday. I called him on Tuesday to see what was up and he didn't answer....I left a voicemail. Then this morning I get an email from him telling me that my mom was in hospital on Saturday complaining of chest pains and the she is fine now. Dammit dad!!!! That is something you leave on my voicemail. Or text me. Fuck your principles!!!!! Now I look like the worst daughter in world.

they released my uncle from the hospital!

he looks like hell, and he still won't tell anyone the prognosis, and he is still under intense radiation (helps the pain)

but he is out and can enjoy the little things

I hated to call my neighbors this afternoon because they've been with their daughter in Florida who has cancer and had a double mastectomy, but their dog got lonely and ran through their underground fence to come visit. I feel good though because they were already on their way home and we easily secured the dog (a 100+ lb lab) for the night.
