i think a nude/beige crochet/lacey kind might be ok.
not sure though. white would totally work. 9/5/2011 9:39:40 PM |

I had been thinking about my cream colored lacey ones, but the top is navy/white striped so I guess white would be better than cream. Though cream pretty much blends into my pale skin. 9/5/2011 9:40:58 PM |

Help!!
I have a date with this guy I met on eHarmony, we have clicked really well online and I get to meet him in person Friday night at a pub, I'm a little excited. Technically, this is my second date since I became single in November so I hope I'm not too off my game, but I have no idea what to wear. all of my clothes have gotten too big, while it's it still makes me , I'd like to wear something cute and comfy, but not look all baggy. Does anyone have any suggestions or have seen something recently in the stores I could try? 9/7/2011 2:36:03 PM |

the baggyiness is all in my upper thighs and ass, belts help keeping pants up but they don't fill out my ass.
I dont have many dresses that don't look like mu-mu's on me and I'm not so sure how much I want to show my legs, they aren't my best quality 9/7/2011 2:53:30 PM |

well to be honest and I'm just going to lay it all on the table, I think I need a whole new wardrobe overhaul. I have nothing. I have no style and nothing "nice" I've been getting by wearing stuff I found at Kohl's to work. Since my weight has been a rollercoaster the past year, I decided not to buy anything nice and only bought stuff I can wear to work, like capris (that now don't fit) jeans (way too big), and t-shirts. I have no idea where to even start. and I'm tired of being all frumpy-- it's making me depressed 9/7/2011 3:01:21 PM |

so my last post made me feel really depressed so I just closed up the office and went to the mall So I got a few pieces that fit me and look nice. Probably the first time in years I got jeans that aren't from Target or Kohls.
I really need to buck down and go shopping for nice clothes that fit me and coordinate well. I used to like thrift stores but could never find anything in my size. I'd really like to look nice all the time, not just on special occasions 9/7/2011 5:46:15 PM |

Invest in leggings and belts!!! You can belt most shirts to make them look a lot more figure-flattering. And leggings are a cheap, versatile fashion investment. And they're great if you experience weight fluctuations!
Just avoid frumpty-dumpty, as Patti Stanger would say! Go for classy, modern and form-fitting. Belts and stretchy clothing go a long way to making any outfit a bit more formfitting.9/7/2011 6:01:15 PM |

I need to jump on the belt bandwagon since my weight is going to be changing a lot. But most of the belts I see in places like Kohl's are either fugly or boring. Where do you ladies buy your belts? 9/7/2011 6:08:23 PM |
iheartkisses All American 3791 Posts user info edit post |
I don't wear real belts. I just tie a piece of cloth around my waist. Like a sash, but not as stuffy. Just something to create an hourglass. 9/7/2011 6:19:31 PM |

I don't wear belts. They look horrible on me. 9/7/2011 6:20:02 PM |

Big belts with huge buckles make me look like a teen shopping in forever 21. But a simple piece of fabric tied around the waist can create a great silhouette. 9/7/2011 6:23:07 PM |

question about leggings: I dont have "thin" legs, my legs have meat on top--thicker thighs would leggings be appropriate for me? I have never tried them because I figured they were for skinny legged girls? 9/7/2011 8:00:50 PM |

I don't recall who mentioned the elf (or e.l.f.) cosmetics line at Target, but I saw a whole bunch of their cosmetics at an end cap on clearance. Nice little kits - little black beauty book stuff. All the stuff for a day look, smokey eye, bright eye, etc. 38 color palette.. all really nicely priced.
Got one of their eyeshadow day look kits (with brushes) for $4.25. 9/7/2011 9:58:48 PM |
