Just for shits and giggles you all do realize that 7 of our 11 losses have come against teams that are currently ranked in the top 25. All but one of our losses to unranked teams occurred on the other teams home court. I don't think a late ACC run is out of the question considering all of our ACC losses are to teams in the top half of the ACC standings.

And?? With the exception of Syracuse, every one of those ranked teams worked us. So basically you're just congratulating the team for having ranked teams on the schedule. We're still a bad team and we've underperformed given the talent on the team.

Look, I know people want to defend the team for reasons of pride and all, but come on. A coach does not a team identity make. You don't see Wizards fans trying to rally behind their team and coach and pretend like they're a bounce away from the playoffs.

I was not defending Sid. I was simply stating a case for why a late run in the ACC wouldn't be surprising. We have played 3 games against teams in the lower half of the ACC standings and won all 3 games. I like how you people take everything that isn't incredibly negative as a ringing endorsement for Lowe.

Is someone really white-knighting Lowe right now? We've got our ass beat all year, especially for a team people expected to be in the upper echelon of the ACC this year. This win isn't some "Oh, see, Lowe is great" shit. Wake Forest is awful. I'd be worried if we didn't win by more than 10-15.

my criticism has almost exclusively been focused on coaching. The only time I've gone after players has been when I've seen a lack of effort. The 2nd half of the BC game comes to mind.

12 points? lol fine, I'll concede that GT game was super duper close and we had that game right in our grasp until the players couldn't hit all those wide open shots that Lowe had designed for us. We gained a lot of moral victories on that particular day however, so that loss shouldn't even really be counted as a loss.

Now let's talk about some of the other losses. Remind me again what happened at the Kohl center?

UNC (home): We have Harrow back for the rematch this time.
Ga. Tech (home): Ought to win. Don't fuck it up.
Virginia (away): Winnable, depends on who shows up to play
FSU (home): Winnable if Singleton is still out with foot injury

We're sitting at #9 in the ACC right now. If we win 4 of the last 6 games, we'll finish the season 7-9. Not content with that, but certainly better than finishing 4-12 or 5-11.
