so did Huard AND Larry Johnson both have fumbles for the Chiefs or what? Cause I thought a fumbled handoff is charged to either the QB or RB, not both

damnit. JAX has already put up 28 and there's 7mins left in the 2nd QTR. Doubt Reggie Williams will do anything at all in the 2nd Half with this big ass lead.

I need Willie and Denver D to have good nights and I might be able to pull out a win.

Damn, this was my team's weakest output yet.

I can still win if the Ravens D doesn't put up 25 points, though (which they haven't the last two weeks).

I could have done 80% better with my sit/start choices

Should have picked NO instead of SD defense
Huard instead of Favre
Welker instead of doug gabriel

Unless Rod Smith and Javon Walker combine for 17 points against the Ravens, I win this week.

It would move me to 3-2 in that league.

It's pretty unlikely that Denver will get negative points. You would be safe to sit them, but remember that total points can be tiebreakers.

Gah.

Last week my three receivers (Steve Smith, Colston and Andre Johnson) combined for 58 points. This week? A whopping 19.6 from Smith, Colston and Furrey (since Johnson had a bye).

It's OK. It was my first loss.

I'm 4-1 and if the scores all hold, which it looks like they will--I'm still in first by a game.

Yeah, next week should be pretty good.

Smith, Johnson and Furrey at WR and Colston at TE since he's listed as a WR/TE.

OK, for next week in my WR/RB slot:

WR Michael Clayton vs. Cincy
RB Michael Turner vs. SF
RB Brandon Jacobs vs. Atlanta

My starting receivers are Smith, Furrey and Andre Johnson. My starting RBs are Edge and Willie Parker.

I need to pick up a RB (or two). Options are Maurice Jones-Drew, Michael Turner, Noah Herron, Leon Washington. Leaning toward Jones-Drew and then Washington.

Also, need a new QB...been holding out hope Green would make it back and McNair would do decent until then...but I could use some better results. Is Damon Huard worth a try? McNair doesnt put up big numbers, but he is consistent...I know what Im gonna get.

Dropped a couple of guys (B. Johnson and B. Franks.... I have EManning/Brees and Crumpler so I don't really need those guys at all anymore) and lookin to pick up a couple (already took Gradkowski for the hell of it, he might turn TB's season around):

I am sort of lookin for a WR, but possibly a Defense or RB (I have DEN as my only defense right now but have been planning on using them until they face a bigtime office, then snag a defense off the waiver wire for that week only).

Here's some of the top guys left - Who would ya'll take (1)?

Welker (MIA, WR.... We don't get RET yards but we get points for RET TD's)
Mi. Clayton (TB, WR)
Ma. Clayton (BAL, WR)
N. Herron (GB, running back - how long will Ahman be out?)
C. Benson (CHI, RB - I already have T. Jones, W. Parker who will start as my two RB's most weeks)
A. Battle (SF, WR)
Br. Johnson (ARI, WR)
E. Parker (SD, WR)
D. Hall (KC, WR... see Welker)
H. Baskett (PHI, WR)
L. Washington (NYJ, RB)

Defenses: NYG, MIA, DET, ARI, TEN, SF, GB, OAK, CLE, HOU

DeAngelo Williams out for a number of weeks

Quote :
"Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams suffered a high right ankle sprain during Sunday's win over the Browns. He could miss a few weeks, according to the Rock Hill Herald. Williams suffered the injury on his only carry on Sunday.

The Panthers have yet to release a target date for his return. In fact, they would not even acknowledge the severity of the injury on Sunday, but sources told the Herald that Williams could miss a few weeks. Starter DeShaun Foster won't have to look over his shoulder while Williams is away, and there's a chance that backup tailback Nick Goings could get a few more carries than usual as a chance of pace back."

This definitely boosts Foster's value, trade for him if you can.

Damn, guess I should go ahead and drop DeAngelo. I was banking on Deshaun getting hurt before him.

Guess I need to pick up two guys off that list I just put up.

Panthro, any ideas? BTW, I appreciate the help on Willie. I was close to benching him.

with matchups

J. Kitna
(Det - QB)
Buf
J. Losman
(Buf - QB) @Det

B. Roethlisberger
(Pit - QB)
KC
J. Harrington
(Mia - QB)
@NYJ
A. Smith
(SF - QB)
SD
S. McNair
(Bal - QB)
Car
B. Gradkowski
(TB - QB)
Cin

go with either of the top 3 prolly...those are the best defenses to play against in my opinion, big ben may want to throw a TD so that may be an option. some free agents may become avaliable but i doubt it...its lookin either JP, Kitna, or Big Ben

I'm 4-1 in my league right now (would be 5-0 but I had to play Rivers his first week over Bledsoe out of respect and I lost by a few points).

I'm lucky to be doing so well because a few of my guys are banged up. I have Vinateri and Matt Jones, but they've both been out for two weeks and will be for another week at least. I just lost Fitzgerald, but fortunately I picked up Joey Galloway.

I have to choose amongst these for WR and TE:
Galloway
Holt (lock)
Cotchery
Colston (WR/TE)
McMichael

I have Jones and Fitz on the DL right now which sucks, but I can't drop either of them because they should be good when they get healthy, and I know they'll get picked up.

I just dropped Furrey for Galloway.

Up to this point I have been playing Colston at TE and sitting McMichael because of poor production, but I may actually have to play Colston at WR this week. It's a tough call and I'll have to wait until more info comes out later this week, but I am leaning towards Holt, Cotchery, and Galloway at WR and then Colston at TE, just because he has big game potential any day.

Now that Phil's free to throw, which SD receiver do you think is the best to pick up?

Floyd seems like a big target, but Parker has more history...and then there's Jackson, who apparently Phil has hit a lot in practice in the past.

sorry guys, I thought this had been posted earlier:

Larry Fitzgerald to miss at least 2-5 weeks with a hamstring Injury

If you are in need of depth at WR, or owned Fitz, pick up Bryant Johnston, the #3 (now #2) WR.

All are bad plays this week though vs. Chicago.
