What I just don't understand is, Vick has supposedly been involved with this since 2001. How in the hell did not even a small hint of this not get leaked out. With the age of cell phones with cameras etc, you think someone would have taken a picture of him at a fight, or someone who lost at a fight to some of his dogs, would leak the story out of revenge. I just don't see how one of the most famous names in the NFL can attend dog fights, and not a word of it gets out for 6 years. Its not like all these people are that loyal, his 3 so called friends turned on his ass pretty quick.

^i talked to somebody in a bar a few months ago who was in charlotte for business but lives in virginia in surrey county...said one of his buddies in maybe 2005 or 2004 heard vick was at some dog fight, but at the time either didnt think it was a huge deal or didnt put 2 and 2 together or whatever...could of just been one of those things that you hear about and stash in the back of your mind...dunno...i wouldnt be surprised if some witnesses or videos come out now that the trial and charges are so famous now

If they were out there and mentioned anywhere, they would have been mentioned all over Sportscenter and PTI, ATH, etc....or in any major newspaper. Do you understand how much money an "anonymous" informant with a picture of Vick at a fog fight would have fetched? I think the feds are going to take the deal that he was part of a conspiracy. The only ones that would know that he killed dogs would be his buddies, and that would become a "he said, they said". I could really care less either way about Vick, but this is ridiculous. Who really cares about a few stupid dogs anyway? I have 2 dogs, and it would really bother me if something happened to them, but those are MY dogs. And yes, there is a difference. These dogs are just animals whose genetic tendancy is to fight. Is it wrong to encourage that behavior and watch "innocent" animals die? Yes. Are there drunk drivers, drug addicts, rapists, pedophiles, and murderers out there who do things that are about 1000 times worse? Yes. I would be willing to bet that 25% of proffessional atheletes have committed crimes that are "worse" than Vicks. I dunno.... I am certainly not condoning his actions, it's just annoying to see just how much media attention it is getting when there are other things going on that are much worse.

If anyone doesnt see a difference from this and hunting or any other sport, you are either not informed or are just not bright.

HBO did a good story on it, and it will make you PISSED to see what they do to get these dogs "ready". One guy had his dog stolen, they broke his dogs hip so it couldnt fight back, and tossed in to the pit bulls, so they "can learn how to kill". The guy got his dog back and sewed him up, however he cannot use his back leg. Another owner wasnt as lucky, as his dogs mouth was taped shut, and he was killed by the pit bulls.

These people are sick. Just because something is your property it does not give you the right to abuse it.

The reason this is gettign the attention is bc this is a celeb doing something awful that no one has done before. If he got busted for drugs, it would be a big deal...but not to this magnitude.

If anyone thinks he was setup.. grow the fuck up. He did this to himself, HE is the moron and piece of shit for doing this. He will pay for his stupidity. we have this neighbor who lives a few houses down from us here in rr, and the 2 or 3 times a year he tries to talk to us he is always braggin about how him and his boys killed a guy a few years ago or about how he hunts with elliot sadler. last year he was in our yard wastin our time and he brought his fucking pit bull over and talked about how he gets 10 grand for each one he breeds, because he goes up and fights then with mike vicks dogs in virginia. i never believed a word of his bullshit, but i choked when i first heard about this case.
