I don't know what I want to happen tonight. I guess Costa Rica and Mexico losing would be the biggest help, but that would leave Honduras tied with us and we still have to play at their place. Mexico winning would put us in first all alone if we win and keep us 4 points clear of Costa Rica with a match vs them on the last day. A US win and ties in the other games means 16 poins USA, 14 points Honduras, and 13 points Mexico and Costa Rica. That would make a tie, or win a must at Honduras. Ecuador, Columbia, Uruguay, and ARGENTINA are in the best position to finish 5th. Ecuador and Columbia have high altitude stadiums and I would hate to have to go to Argentina, if we don't finish in the top 3.

i didnt see the first half. sounds like dempsey is playing awful...but im noticing i see Clark out there, and anytime he plays we tend to suck...any ideas on why he is playing? the bradley/clark combo has always sucked and is never offensive. a draw is the best looking result for us in the mexico v hondurass game. itll keep us 3 ahead of mexico and we still have a head to head against honduras with a win guaranteeing us a world cup birth, and most likely the group. costa rica doesnt look too much of a threat anymore with a draw against el salvador. also, that 3 pt lead on mexico is good cause if they end up tying us on points, i think we could be ok cause i think we got them by +3 on goal differential (which i assume would determine between us and mexico if it came to it)

In all fairness to him, it took a funny bounce and went above his foot, so he got too far under it. If the ball was touching grass when it was at his foot it was a goal. He still should have got it with the bounce.

did anyone happen to catch the end of the bahrain v saudi arabia match? i dont know what day it was on maybe today. but i just watched tape delay of it on FSC and that ending was ridiculous. bahrain was through with a tie, saudi took the lead in 92nd minute, celebrated for like a minute. bahrain comes down the other end and scores on a corner kick on the last play of the game to progress them through whomever they play next...maybe some playoff team from a different section

^You never know. The 3 worst teams at the CC this summer gave some of the better teams a run for their money. In the 2006 World Cup T&T tied Sweden and it took 2 goals by England in the last 10 minutes and a clear off of the line on an open goal at the half to give T&T their first loss.
