figure of speech? i dont think that means what you think it means...

one D being more dominant doesnt necessarily tell you that they are the better D, it could just be that the O they are playing against is inferior. Two teams would have B defenses, but one has an A+ offense and the other has a C offense, obv the one playing against the C offense is going to look dominant by comparison.

it isnt really a big deal, but people are saying UNC's D is good and your only counter-argument is that UVA's D has looked better, which is doesnt really say anything.

Dude, it's UVA. They lost to Bill and Mary. Their D couldn't shut down Bill and Mary, and it's shutting down UNC. I don't think there's any argument that UVA's D has faced weaker O's and lost, yet they're bringing it to UNC. What does that say about UNC's D now?

^^^ Well, maybe to clarify. UNC should be running away with this one. They're getting outplayed by a team that lost to Bill and Mary. UNC D = sucks. UVA's D = sucks (obviously), but UVA's D > UNC's D today. UNC's O > Bill and Mary's O, but Bill and Mary beat UVA.

Lost of transitive property stuff there, but still.

UNC D = overrated.

Well, all I know is:

The team that let B&M drop 24 on them has allowed 0 versus UNC and
the team that could only put 16 on B&M has put 6 on UNC.

Game can still change, but that's just pathetic for them.
