washington would look a lot better if they gave him more than one play to run. he isn't big enough to push people around, but he's got some legs if he can get an opening from the line or go off tackle]

Washington has started over Greene and Creecy specifically because of his ability to pass block.
You TWW coaches never cease to amaze me.

Last year wasn't all that bad?? Half our fucking d-line was out in the middle of the season. Our fullback was getting major burn as a defensive tackle. We barely got healthy by the end. Wtf are you blabbing about in this thread??

No jbrick is being melodramatic. We were definitely on the lucky side with injuries last year. (for once)
Well shit we did lose Greene before the season even started. And our D Line was hit or miss with injuries all year. We WERE fortunate last year that our injuries did occur at our deepest position.] 8/6/2012 11:53:13 PM |

Every year is bad for injuries under TOB. He usually injures half the team in camp and the other half during the season.
If its bad again this year there won't be anyone left to defend him and his conditioning program. At some point its not just bad luck.
(Not saying one injury already isn't normal, just saying he needs to make major strides in this department obviously from years past) 8/7/2012 7:45:09 AM |

last year was much worse than the year before. as mentioned, muc of d-line was decimated for almost a third of the season. much of our defensive 2-deep was out, including manning and our team captain sweezy. i'm pretty sure the season before was one of TOB's healthiest.
^^^that was ok face, but you can do better. i know you're just warming up for the season, easing in so you don't pull a hammy.

it's wrong to say that is the ONLY reason he has started over others. Surely his knowledge of the offense, his good receiving hands, speed, and his ability to avoid fumbles had something to do with it.
Don't forget DEAN HAYNES started over Washington
maybe it's that Washington is the least worst at pass blocking 8/7/2012 2:37:41 PM |

Yeah, I recall dean haynes starting because of his pass blocking and actually being able to run the ball.

Sounds like he was given a ticket for "hot dogging" which sounds a little bit stupid, but coupled with his citation for throwing bottles off his balcony at cars/people it would get him a suspension @ most schools, just not most SEC schools. 8/8/2012 11:07:40 AM |

Quote : | "LENOIR CITY — Tennessee quarterback Tyler Bray is scheduled in court today over a boating incident.
Bray is slated to appear at Loudon County General Sessions Court although the exact time has not been disclosed on charges stemming from a July 4 Jet Ski incident on Tellico Lake.
According to Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency officer Dewayne Williams, Bray was driving a Jet Ski with a woman passenger when he was observed by Williams "hot dogging" with another Jet Ski. Williams explained the term "hot dogging" as "almost like playing chicken" on Jet Skis.
The other Jet Ski tipped over spilling the unidentified occupants into the water. Bray then sped near the swimmers "spraying them with water," according to Williams, who added "he was almost on top of them."
Jet Skis are supposed to operate at least 100 feet apart, Williams said.
The charges include a Class A misdemeanor for reckless operation of a personal watercraft, and a Class C misdemeanor for failure to have a boating education certificate.
The Class A misdemeanor carries a possible $2,500 fine and six months in jail.
"This all happened directly in front of me," said Williams of the incident. "That's what I couldn't believe."
He said he did not recognize Bray, but said Bray was "polite and nice" when he encountered them.
Bray was earlier linked to a vandalism investigation stemming from incidents at his apartment complex last month. Bray agreed to pay for damages to a vehicle that was pelted by beer bottles and golf balls. A second individual who believed her car was damaged in retaliation for reporting the original vandalism declined to pursue the matter after the Landings Riverfront Apartments said it would cover her costs.
Knoxville police said Bray would not face charges over those incidents. Last week he said he made a "real stupid decision" that represented a "step back" in his goal of being a team leader." |
