"You are using a bowl game to justify GT's strength but then saying that if FSU gets blown out tonight people can't use that as an example of FSU weakness and should consider all 13 games. You say use the body of work for FSU, yet ignore that GT lost to Duke and UNC? Just asking which is it, a body of work or value on the bowl game. You are arguing both about 2 different teams, at least be consistent."

Body of work, including a bowl game is what I would take into consideration when drawing conclusions about a team's season...although overall body of work outweighs just 1 bowl game. And GT's overall body of work supports my claim that they are a pretty strong team...last night's win further supports that claim. They lost to UNC and Duke, which are definitely poor losses...I don't think I ever really ignored those losses. They beat Clemson, UGA, and Miss St this year....all very impressive wins They're a good team (even before beating Miss St last night). If they had lost to Miss St they'd still be a good team. If you consider all 13, now 14, of GT's games you should also be able to conclude that they are a formidable opponent. GT was a good team before last night...then they went out and stomped another really good team to further their case.

Just like FSU is a top 4 team prior to tonight. Tonight's result won't change the fact that they deserved to be there.

It's not a contradiction to say that FSU has earned the #1 seed but may not win the tournament. This scenario happens all the time in tournaments. The point is, in America we determine the best team on the field, not with a committee.

If I hear the term "Body of work" work again, I'm going to hit somebody. If they played football in the Soviet Union, they would have a committee to consider each team's body of work and choose a champion.

It's championship or bust. We don't bother to show up for other bowl games, there's no point. If you are in my SEC and don't make the Natty, might as well not even game plan because the season was a failure. That's how we do in the SEC son.

Good for about an hour and a half there Oregon and tOSU sucked, and the committee blew it but now that MSU won Oregon and tOSU are good again and TCU stinks for losing to that crappy Baylor team.

Thats exactly why the entire system is retarded. Make a set way to get into the postseason like every other sport.

Anyone else having issues streaming through WatchESPN?

On several different devices, I'm getting "unauthorized to view" and "unable to load" messages.

Nevermind:

I have no idea where this game is going, but at this point, they seem to be playing FSU's game. The score is only 8-3 and FSU is hitting them hard. We'll see who wears down first, but FSU is definitely in the game.

Oregon got away with a major hold in the end zone there. FSU has to settle for FG because of it

Can't tell if you are serious. Replay clearly shows him lift off his feet and extend his arms into the kickers head.

Don't run up on the returner like you're Mike Singletary if you don't want to get hit.

If you think a flag should have been called there, maybe football isn't for you. It's a good block and a pitiful attempt and pursuing a tackle.

This is about the best shape FSU has been in at half time all season. They could easily have 17 more points if things broke their way. With any luck, they ought to be able to take over in the second half.

i would assume chizik wants to get back to being a head coach...so if he's successful at UNC i wouldn't expect him to be there long. but maybe i'm wrong there.

I thought we'd be past the "UNC is a sleepin giant" stuff after they didn't live up to preseason hype (yet again) and tailed off badly toward the end of the year...at least in years past they've finished kinda strong. But now that they've made a splash hire, you can bet the UNC as a darkhorse predictions will start back this offseason.
