thanks guys, blood work is fine so its not dehydration. I'm guessing it was a toxin of some kind but I cant possibly think of what, they're pumping her with fluids to flush out her system

saps I hope your pup is ok, hopefully that info was relevant .... I cannot handle when mine are ill , just be thankful it wasn't on a Sunday, lord... the only vets open on Sundays are emergency hours and ones that are 2X the cost of your regular vet.


also, don't feel bad about getting teary eyed. I shed a few tears when my lizard was diagnosed with a fatal pathogen, and lizards are not exactly the cutest pets.

I went to the animal hospital to say goodbye to my childhood dog the day before my parents had her scheudled to be put down. The vet let me sit on the ground and let her out of her cage. My dog came out and laid down with her head in my lap. I lost it. I cried so hard.

It was over the phone...that's why I didn't say yes...but basically we were talking about he just said something along the lines of since I've moved up here for the summer I've realized how much I really love you and how much I want you to be there with me the rest of my life and I really want you to marry me...so will you please move to maryland and marry me...in fact stop by the court house on your way up here and get a marriage certificate

That's when I was like Oh shit...and I was like well if you're going to propose you're going to need to do it in person and I'm not 100% sure I'm quite ready to get there right now just cause I have a few things I need to get together...you know like a car and shit...
But I let him know I have ever intention of saying yes and that I would move to Maryland with him next year, it's just too sudden for me to pick up and move right now...I have some ideas on how I can stay with my company but move up there so I'm going to work on those...I need a job with benefits and shit since being a professional fisherman doesn't give you heath insurance.


So not sure what is going to happen this weekend...I still think it's just a little too early for us to get engaged...I'd rather wait until after he comes back home...but honestly if he has a ring and he's serious then I'm serious too

But he's the type of guy that doesn't really share his mooshy mushy lovey dovey feelings all that much so I knew that when he started talking to me like that it was serious and I was like oh fuck

We've been together around 6 months now...that's one reason why I'd rather wait until he comes back home...because we haven't been together all that long but it was one of those things where the first night we hung out we basically just never stopped being together (except for all of those times where he had to go make some money catching fish)...we got really close really fast and we just work so well together
Honestly while we haven't been together all that long we have such and open and honest and healthy relationship...it's been such an effortless relationship...it just happened neither one of us forced anything...

That being said...if we are going to spend the rest of our lives together there is no point into rushing into anything

glad to hear she was able to come home and it was under the 700 dollar estimate they gave ya. and that 98 bucks actually isn't too bad... I know VSH and other emergency/specialty hospitals will charge you double that just to walk in the door. Do you have to give any meds or fluids or anything?

nobody knows, they think she ate something but I keep a close eye on what she eats and she's a tank of a dog. I doubt eating a mushroom or a weed roach outside would do anything to her, so who knows
