if the wind is blowing they should start wakefield... a knuckle ball is hard as balls to hit with wind making it dance

RedSox-Yankees has always been THE RIVALRY in sports

you folks down here are JUST getting introduced to it...try living 45 mins from NYC and in New England your whole life and you know...absolutel UNBELIEVABLE

and I think that play by Pay-Rod was the most gutless, unsportsmanlike play I have EVER seen

I agree. When I lived at the beach, my roommate and I used to throw on the beach all the time. I am a pretty good knuckle ball thrower and I could make that shit dance like hell when the wind was blowing good. I would love to see what Wakefield could do with a nice blow in Yankee Stadium

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO REDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXx

hell fuckin yeah....it is soooooo good to be in new england right now.....to have a bar full of 30 people hanging on every single pitch and to have 30 people to give a high five and a hug to is the most wonderful feeling in the world...other than hugging and seeing megan....absolutely fantastic....

and if wakefield starts tomorrow....it will be mirabelli catching him and doug is wakefields personal catcher...he can catch the knuckle ball....varitek isnt used to it....

either way...the sox are going to win...

When it is too windy, the ball dances too much and the pitcher has absolutely no control. Most knucklers prefer a day without any wind.

wakefield pitched game 5 last year (I think).... with the wind blowing steadily in his face and had one of his best games... He commented after the game at how much the wind helped him.

there is a big difference in that, then when it is random wind coming from all over the place.

if you havent noticed, I havent said a damn thing about jeter... I personally thing jeter is over rated. He's an excellent ball player, I love watching him! But most of his female fans like him because he's hot.

Jeter wasnt a yankee when I was a kid.. I remember watching Bernie Williams, I actually met Don Mattingly through my dad, Paul O'Neill was great to watch when he got pissed and attacked the water cooler, I remember watching Andy Pettitte his first year which was the same year Jeter and Posada started, Darryl Strawberry, Tino Martinez, Cecil Fielder... I remember watching all these guys when I was a kid.

1- I dont cheer for the yankees b/c they're winning

2- I dont cheer for the yankees b/c jeter's hot

3- I'm not on a fucking bandwagon...

You either love the yankees, or you hate them, there's no in between.

Yankee fans are one of a kind

^ agreed. I dont pull for the Yankees b/c Derek Jeter is hott. And neither does my sister, even though she thinks is absolutely gorgeous. We have both been Yankee fans since we were kids, and that is the way our dad raised us. His idol was Mickey Mantle, and he cant even THINK about pulling for another team. He is a true Yankee. The day Mickey Mantle died was one of the saddest days in my dads life, seriously. WE arent bandwagon just b/c we're in the South and pull for a winning team. I dont care what you say about their payroll, about their players, or about their fans. I also pull for the Cardinals, but you can bet that if they were playing the Yankees, I would pull for New York. Boston can suck it, and take their empty bandwagon back to Boston when their season is over, b/c no one will be on it then.
