THC is slightly water soluble in water so you lose some of it through the bong water, also there is no real collection of resin to burn when you run out and it dries up around raleigh, plus you really get to experience the full flavor of what you smoke with a bowl, and if taste is a problem then get better pot

Despite the facts most people get high waaaay more easily with a bong than a bowl. It's more about the quantity of smoke.

A bowl is one of the most inefficient ways to smoke. With the temperature of the lighter you burn off most of the THC by lighting it. In fact a joint is actually the best simple way to smoke. It's a myth that the last joint hit is the best, in fact the first few joint hits are the best.

The joint acts as a vaporizer and every time you take a hit the heat from the cherry slowly vaporizes the THC throughout the entire length of the joint, so by the end most of the THC is gone anyway, and you're just getting that "high" feeling from inhaling lots of smoke, rather than the "stoned" feeling from THC.

The BEST way to smoke is with a vaporizer. You don't inhale as much smoke, and you're getting mostly THC. But to each his own. Bowls are probably the most convenient. Although rolling a nice spliff is very gratifying.

Actually, joints and blunts are kind of wasteful. Vaporizers seem like the best, but I enjoy bongs too. Gravity bongs are probably the worst for your lungs, but they're awesome anyway.
