they said he would play.they even cut gramatica. who ended up kicking for them? Did they just pick someone out of the crowd?
10/10/2006 12:18:04 AM
won by .4 points, wow
10/10/2006 12:26:28 AM
I'm pissed about a tie in one league, especially since I would've won if Todd Heap had just caught the ball instead of doing that stupid catch-and-pitch thing at the end of tonight's game.
10/10/2006 12:39:04 AM
^how did they score that shit? is it not a catch???
10/10/2006 1:13:30 AM
you have to check the injury report more often. vinateri was downgraded to questionable on saturday night, and the colts resigned martin gramatica a day or two before the game, three days after releasing him. that was a big sign right there. then, on sunday morning, about 8 am, the colts unofficially scratched him.i don't know when it was made official, but i know it was clear before the game began everywhere that vin wouldn't be playing. i have him in my league as well and so i had to keep tabs on him. he'll be back in a couple of weeks as good as new.
10/10/2006 1:25:02 AM
haha i ran up the score tonight with denvers defense. money.

Play 3 WRs:Steve Smith @ BaltimoreDarrell Jackson @ St LouisLee Evans @ DetroitB. Berrian @ ArizonaChris Chambers @ NY JetsIt would look like on paper that Smith and Chambers should be benched, but Smith is almost one of those dudes who is an auto start no matter what the matchup. Is Leon Washington worth a pickup (over 100 yards vs Jax) or was it one of those fantasy one hit wonders?
10/10/2006 8:03:59 AM
^^^^Yahoo gave the catch to the guy my TE swung the ball to immediately after catching it. I'm not sure if that should count as a lateral or a tip. I'm still holding out hope, since ESPN gave my guy 11 yards and NFL.com gave him 10.^Don't overthink matchups. The 100 yards was nice, but remember they lost 0-41 and he's listed at like 4th-string on the jets depth chart.
10/10/2006 9:54:39 AM
sean taylor or ed reed for my DP
10/10/2006 10:39:17 AM
10/10/2006 10:57:08 AM
My bad, I only looked at the unofficial depth chart on the jet's web page.Anyways, from ESPN chat:
10/10/2006 11:17:43 AM
Oh good, yahoo gave me the 10 yards. 1 point victory!
10/10/2006 2:56:35 PM
Thanks to the Wolfpack, Panthers, and 3/4 of my fantasy teams for another good weekend.
10/10/2006 5:48:07 PM
Pennington versus MiamiLosman versus DetroitMiami D is kind of good, but Detroit defense has been a fantasy gift from the gods.
10/10/2006 7:34:00 PM
^ unless, of course, you're seattle.also, why the fuck can't I cut Hines Ward? He isn't top 150 in any league I'm in.
10/10/2006 10:36:44 PM
I'm being offered Edgerrin James and Reggie Brown for Thomas Jones and Darrell Jackson.Accept or Reject?(I'd be getting Edge and Brown, losing Jones and Jackson).Current RBs: T. Jones/Edge, Parker, Deangelo, MorrisCurrent WRs: Jackson/R. Brown, Steve Smith, Plaxico, Reggie Williams, Bryant Johnson, Michael Clayton
10/10/2006 11:36:06 PM
giving up too much to not get enough back.denied.
10/10/2006 11:39:00 PM
pick 2Santana Moss, Randy Moss, Coles, Burress, Stallworth, Gallowaypick 2Dunn vs NYG, Edge against chicago, Jordan vs denver, Rudi vs TB
10/11/2006 7:13:47 AM
^ if you need reasons, I can give them to you...but here would be my picks.Plaxico - caught TD's in 3 of 4 games.Santana Moss - playing the leagues 2nd worst pass defenseRudi - He should have a big game hereW. Dunn - Simply better matchup than the remaining two choices. NY defense is poor and can be run on.
10/11/2006 10:17:08 AM
Eli Manning @ ATL or Drew Brees vs PHIor Gradkowski vs CINI'm thinkin Brees?
10/11/2006 10:32:33 AM
and I'm thinking Manning.they have too many weapons to not play him.Manning loves the dump passes to Tiki, Shockey should play, Plax is red hot, Toomer is playing above and beyond, and the #3 receiver, Carter, is playing great as well.200 yards and 2-3 TD'sFeely (sp?) will have at least 2-3 field goals. He makes a great play this week as well.Go with Manning.
10/11/2006 10:37:06 AM
^I also have Plaxico so Eli-Plaxi combo is pretty solid. Our league scoring is TD heavy so when these two hook up, I really get a boost.
10/11/2006 10:44:12 AM
Frank Gore vs. SDorLarry Johnson (sore neck) vs. PittsburghTwo top RBs, two tough run defenses...my other two RBs, Willie Parker and Julius Jones have favorable matchups, but the third spot between those two is tricky this week.
10/11/2006 1:17:58 PM
among these which 2 should I start?Stephen Jackson vs. SeattleTravis Henry vs. WashingtonTiki Barber vs. ATLi'm thinkin Jackson and Henry, henry is now starting and he rushed for 120 last week against indy, while Tiki has yet to score a TD the entire year, and isn't ATL's run defense pretty bangin? how is the skins' run D? seattle's?also between these 3 which should I start?Colston vs PhillyS. Moss vs TenJ. Cotch vs MiamiA. Johnson vs. Dallasif I start Colston this week it's gonna be at WR cuz I have gates too and i have a feeling he's gonna go off this week against SF
10/11/2006 3:31:23 PM
i'd go jackson and tiki, colston, moss, and cotchFrank Gore vs. SDorLarry Johnson (sore neck) vs. PittsburghTwo top RBs, two tough run defenses...my other two RBs, Willie Parker and Julius Jones have favorable matchups, but the third spot between those two is tricky this week.
10/11/2006 3:50:27 PM
The Chargers will be up early and often against the 49ers, thus limiting Gore's touches. The Chiefs could be down as well, but Johnson is thier most productive receiver, not to mention rusher.Always start your stud.Go with Johnson over Gore.
10/11/2006 4:53:54 PM
Hey Panthro I'm in a league with defensive players.. wondering if I should stick with Lucas at cornerback(he has been a little hurt so far this season. and they arent throwing at him much) or Lito who just came back from injury and had a huge game against Dallas.. scoring is 1 pt. per tackle, 1 for tackle for loss, 1 for passes defended, 1 for tackle, 2 for int. and 6 for INT return for TD-first time playing in a league with Defensive players
10/11/2006 5:11:41 PM
Cool, thnx for the question...I love IDP's! I play with them as well in some of my leagues.Well, for this weekend, I would suggest Lito, simply because he will more opprotunities to do something...Baltimore doesnt throw nearly as much as New Orleans does. If you have any other IDP's (Individual defensive positions) available, I would absolutely look for Tommie Harris of Chicago and/or Bart Scott of Baltimore. Both of those guys are putting up monster IDP fantasy numbers this year but aren't owned in over half of Yahoo! leagues.Look for those guys definitely, but get Lito...at least for this game.- The Guru
10/11/2006 5:21:30 PM
I see a lot of people adding M. Furrey. What's so great about him?
10/12/2006 12:11:35 PM
How much should we read into Priest Holmes' and Curtis Martin's comebacks? IF they return this year, will they be of any value? I need TD help from my RBs bigtime.

aight aight aight check out this trade, give me opinionsI GIVE UPD. Culpepper (I have Harrington)S. AlexanderI GETT. Barber (could replace Droughns, and leave me with a backfield of barber and mcgahee)E. Moulds (i am REALLY desperate at WR)J. Stevens (hasn't played a game, i've got watson and e. johnson at TE)I think I should take it while I can. Culpepper is out at least a couple weeks, and alexander wasn't doing shit when he was "healthy."
10/12/2006 11:24:10 PM
It's worth it just for barber. Culpeper and stevens are waiver wire material[Edited on October 12, 2006 at 11:38 PM. Reason : dfs]
10/12/2006 11:37:31 PM
not in this league.there are literally not any starting QBs left on the waiver wire.and i'm not one of the smart ones to grab a solid backup, hence my harrington situation.i mean, if harrington is replaced in three weeks, i am screwed with a starter (Brady) and nothing else (2 QB league)[Edited on October 12, 2006 at 11:43 PM. Reason : /]
10/12/2006 11:42:39 PM
Just pick beldsoe or plummer's backup.
10/12/2006 11:48:29 PM
see if he will counter with culpepper for moulds straight up
10/12/2006 11:51:17 PM
ahaha i mean do you think culpepper is pretty much done for the seasonif so, it's a no brainer to accepthonestly i have tried to get tiki from him for like three weeks for better deals on his end and he has not bitten...
10/12/2006 11:54:30 PM
Culpepper is worthless. Tiki is about as good as Alexander, and there's no injury concerns. Might as well do it.
10/12/2006 11:55:22 PM
2 rb:r brown @ nyjc williams vs cind mcallister vs phid foster @ bal2 wr:j walker vs oakj galloway vs cinr williams vs buf (probable)suggestions?
10/13/2006 12:13:26 AM
WR go witj Joey and WalkerI dunno about RB, have to think about that a little
10/13/2006 12:15:48 AM
think about what?r brown @ nyjc williams vs cinjets and cin both suck against the run. phil and bal are nasty against the run.[Edited on October 13, 2006 at 2:13 AM. Reason : asd]
10/13/2006 2:12:58 AM
T.Bell against Oak?orM.Turner against SF?i'm leaning towards T.Bell because Oak defense sucks hard...and because I already am overweighted the Chargers on my roster: LT, P.Riv, Kaeding, and the Defense
