we stopped playing Lincoln after our first handful of shows there. Its a decent size place, allowing more people to get into a show than some other venues around yet they STILL paid less for more people, plus the sound guy at all the shows we played was horrible.

Just out of curiosity, how long ago was that? I've had nothing but good experiences with the sound at Lincoln.....stage sound and house, but this was relatively recent

yea to be fair, the last time we played there was probably 2005. We had a couple shows there in 2004, including our first CD release show there. It was a fun show but the sound on stage was terrible and in the crowd our friends were telling us the mix was pretty bad but he wasnt doing anything to help us out really. After that, a handful in '05 and haven't been back to play there since, so things definitely could have changed.

4AD has changed its Web site to show that The National will perform at Lincoln.

So, here's the roundup ...
Cat's Cradle, Lincoln Theatre, 4AD, The National and etix all are reporting Lincoln Theatre.

Meymandi Concert Hall and Ticketmaster are reporting Meymandi.

I think it's safe to assume this will be at Lincoln.

Junior Boys will be back at Cats Cradle on May 3rd. I'm not totally thrilled about their new album but I felt the same way about their last album and really enjoyed their live show.

Gambled on the Decemberists tickets. By the time we got shit organized all the tickets left for the presale were pretty bad. Decided to wait until the general sale in hopes that more tickets would be available (plus you can select your section).

Good decision, because I got section B row C.

i never really had a problem at Lincoln Theater. i play with in ear monitors though, so i know its different if you dont, especially if they make you play in front of a headliner's set-up gear.

had to do that two times and my drums were set up well in front of the floor monitor for the drummer and it was complete shit during sound check b4 we wired up our in-ears.

i just want to see a show this weekend. Now i would prefer Anathallo over Nathan Oliver's release party but my GF has work till 9pm and the Cat's Cradle show gets an early start at 8:15pm. Let's say we can get to Cat's Cradle by 9:30, will the first and second band be done already or close to it?
