I LOVE having a shield on my DH. It helps a lot.

Ive run into mobs that i simply cant solo. Like rares with invulnerable minions. Its just not going to happen solo.

I use caltrops with the spikes, i use electric spike traps, and i use the ice elemental arrow (for slow + the splitting up and hitting multiple targets)

This game is infinitely more easy and fun if you play in a group. Me and 2 buddies are mowing through act1 inferno pretty easily. We've died a few times to some rare / champion packs but we havent had any brickwalls as far as having to skip or remake.

Its early yet though. We are all over 40k hp, and i believe the other DH is at 14kdps and im at 14.5.

Anyone got a real high level witch doc? Seems to be the least played class. I've had to do a ton of different combinations of skills just to figure out something where I'm able to survive and deal damage. The things you can summon don't seem very strong, and the cool downs are such that if they die fast it can take a while to get them back.
Through normal the aoe damage was great...but direct damage not so much.

Didn't really think much of it till I've been getting to higher levels and a guy I just played with commented that I was one of the few functional WD he'd played with. Just hoping the class really scales well here as I get into the 50s. I also got pretty decent fear as I've hit the AH pretty hard and kept up with that. Just seem to be working really hard compared to other classes to keep up.

I believe there is some passive or ability that lets your pets get 100% of your life regen. That helped my WD buddy.

I've tried going all out with the summons using all the best passive skills to add to them and what seems to be best runes and it just doesn't seem like a viable build. Much worse than a lot of the other styles you can play this class. The WD does have a ton of diversity from lots of AOE to the pets etc. but a bit underwhelmed right now at lvl 45. I guess I was hoping the summons would pull more aggro and act like a tank while you dropped damage behind it but just hasn't worked that way.

Soul harvested bears with a 1100 dps weapon hit for 80k a tick and that big zombie tower peoples elbow crit the warden for 415k



Oh and it youre stacking resists and hp on DH youre doing it wrong. You may be able to take a hit or two in inferno act 1 but unless you have 4-500 resists in act2 youre going to get one hit. You need to have the mindset that if you get hit you die. Stack damage and get better at kiting. My friend solod to izual so far. He has 26k dps without sharpshooter and 21k hp and no resists over 30. Resist and hp stacking isnt going to help your dh when my sheild has more armor than your characters. Get an 800 dps or better 2h xbow and chop

I've avoided the blizz forum up to this point just knowing what that place is like a week after a game is released, but decided to head over and read up on thoughts people are having about the WD and it is basically exactly what my thoughts were.

General consensus seems that there are builds that work, but not a lot of variety and it is based around using Vision Quest which isn't very fun and pretty gimmicky. Not much fun spamming bears while just making sure to keep 4 spells on cooldown regardless of when/why you cast as long as they are on cooldown.

you've really got to start changing your strategy with champions/elites when you get to Hell. What worked for you in Normal/Nightmare will get you killed quickly in Hell.

As a Barb, it took me completely changing my skills around, and going from a 2H to a shield + 1H, but the difference was amazing.

Yeah you don't really get a good feel for each class until you've played through a couple of acts at the very least. Go with the recommendation of playing through Normal on each, it's not that big of a time sink.

just wait till act 2 and 3 inferno when that same pack has jailer as well... and you get jailed in a beam that ticks for 6k (even through the 700 resists on my monk) and moltens hit for 15k a pop.

The worst combo to run up on are: Hulking Phasebeast that are Molten with Vortex, or any Unique that is molten, has vortex with fast invulnerable (or extra health) minions. Thes are all bullshit, and should be nerfed, at least you should not be fast and molten or votex at the same time. That shit is nearly broken

They use shouts for allies from 2 or 3 of them, and they take turns stunning and shit like that. ANd if you go into full screen mode, he is always spamming something as well.

been having a good time with this game, esp. co-op. been playing with FLuE and a few other dubbers here and there.

WD is my highest lvl character so far, but i have also started a DH and Barb, and like both of those better.

Going 2 hand on my WD has helped a lot with damage. Character looks pretty funny with this hunched over WD carrying around a sword that is bigger than the character.

AH is always messed up, and I've learned now that if you do a search and something looks like a good deal don't even bother reading what it is if there is a slight chance it looks good and cheap. Just buy it otherwise by the time you get done reading it and realize you want it it is already gone.

I really prefer to play with groups but man does it get hard if you have someone with you not pulling their weight. Also like the guy that joins your game and sits in town for 20 minutes... that is always nice.
