more clips:

talking about NASA declaring a winner in their "space elevator" contest, they used the clip from willy wonka and the chocolate factory when willy wonka, charlie bucket, and grandpa joe are in the great glass elevator and they bust through the roof of the chocolate factory

Fox News is quickly becoming irrelevant,
everything they touch seems to end in disaster,
support of Bush, support of anyone but mccain, support mccain, support tea parties, support anti-healthcare protest

glenn beck is a racist hack and his attack on Jones was completely unfair but ... as Van Jones is a lawyer he should have known better than to put his signature on a "9-11 Truth" petition.

i lost energy to care after that came out.

im still surprised jones resigned, yes beck stirred up some controversy but it didnt seem to be enough to cause a resignation

but if you call that a success then good for you, obama will just replace him with someone else
and now hannity feels left out of the resignation party so he's trying to do the same with the school czar without any luck

conservatives/republicans will start to see that Fox has not benefited them at all
the rise of Fox has coincided with the fall of conservatives, when will they wake up

^^ it was death by a thousand cuts.

Glenn Beck was upset that an educated black man had been put in a prominent position, so he focused all of his energy (seriously, 14 separate episodes) to focus on some pissant item or another.

until every news conference became about Van Jones and what Glenn Beck had said the night before. Jones resigned because the media dog-and-pony show had become a distraction for everyone.

^ a "Communications Director" for the National Endowment of the Arts?

Really?

Isn't that like the 3 of Diamonds in the conservatives' deck of Most Wanted Obama Admin Cards?

Nice try, though.

It's really cute to see you working so diligently.

^^where is the victory in that, he will be replaced
you should also look at the cost of this "victory", Beck has made conservatives look like a bunch of lunatics shaped in the image of McCarthy.
do you think you will win any votes with what Beck has done?

actaully the better question is will you win more votes than you have lost already?
all Fox is doing is continuing to feed of the irrational fear of its viewers while making money off of them. meanwhile their causes are being defeated, their leadership in chaos, and their future looks dim

if you only concentrate on what you have gained while ignoring what you have lost you will not understand what im talking about

he's arguing that Fox impacts national politics at the admistration level.

his main point is that Glenn Beck, via his snarling pack of lunatic followers, has been able to take down a couple functionary positions: a "Communication Director" from the NEA, and a "Special Advisor for Green Jobs".

but let's remember how the Dems were able to weed out a few incompetent, incapable and/or criminally-minded cretins appointed from the previous Bush Administration, without having to resort to enlisting the dregs of yellow journalists.

such as :

Attorney General #1
Attorney General #2
Secretary of Defense
Vice President Chief of Staff (Felony Conviction - sentenced commuted by President)
Deputy Secretary of Dept. of Interior (Felony Conviction, prison)
Federal Procurement Administrator, OMB, Office of President (Felony Conviction, prison)
Executive Director, CIA (Felony Conviction, prison)
Secretary of Housing and Urban Development
Secretary of the Army
Commissioner, US Food and Drug Administration
World Bank President
Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman
Deputy Secretary of State
Chief of Staff to the Attorney General
Undersecretary Department of Homeland Security (FEMA)
Director of Executive Office for US Attorneys, Department of Justice
Deputy Attorney General
Chief Counsel to the Attorney General
Deputy Attorney General Chief of Staff
Deputy Assistant to the President
Associate Attorney General
Assistant Secretary of the Interior

Democratic consultant says he got a warning from White House after appearing on Fox News
'We better not see you on again,' the strategist says he was told by a White House official. The White House communications director denies that officials urge such a boycott.
November 8, 2009

Quote :
"Reporting from Washington - At least one Democratic political strategist has gotten a blunt warning from the White House to never appear on Fox News Channel, an outlet that presidential aides have depicted as not so much a news-gathering operation as a political opponent bent on damaging the Obama administration.

The Democratic strategist said that shortly after an appearance on Fox, he got a phone call from a White House official telling him not to be a guest on the show again. The call had an intimidating tone, he said.

The message was, 'We better not see you on again,' said the strategist, who spoke on condition of anonymity so as not to run afoul of the White House. An implicit suggestion, he said, was that 'clients might stop using you if you continue.'"

Quote :
"But Patrick Caddell, a Fox News contributor and former pollster for President Carter, said he had spoken to Democratic consultants who said they were told by the White House to avoid appearances on Fox. He declined to give their names."

Quote :
"Don Fowler, a former Democratic National Committee chairman, said in an interview: 'This approach is out of sync with my conception of what the Obama administration stands for and what they're trying to do.

'I think they'll think better of it and this will be a passing phase.'"

Rupert Murdoch is considering not allowing Google to index News Corp's sites.

http://blogs.wsj.com/digits/2009/11/09/news-corp-considers-a-google-ban/

Quote :
"Mr. Speers said that those sites argue that they’re helping news outlets, by sending them readers who click the search results. “Isn’t it a two-way street?” he asked.

“They don’t suddenly become loyal readers of our content,” Mr. Murdoch said. “We’d rather have fewer people coming to our Web site but paying.”

“The other argument from Google is that you could choose not to be on their search engine,” Mr. Speers said. “You could simply refuse to be on it, so that when someone does do a search, your Web sites don’t come up. Why haven’t you done that?”

“I think we will,” Mr. Murdoch said. “We do it already, with The Wall Street Journal. We have a wall, but it’s not right to the ceiling. You can get the first paragraph of any story, but if you’re not a paying subscriber to WSJ.com, you get a paragraph and a subscription form.” (Journal articles are currently indexed by search engines and are available for free through Google results. Visitors reach the pay wall only after clicking subsequent articles after the article discovered through search.)

Mr. Murdoch added that News Corp. believes that the fair-use doctrine, which allows for use of copyrighted materials in limited ways such as search results, “could be challenged in the courts and barred altogether.”"

Anita dunn isn't resigning because of fox news. Since day one she has had the title "interim communications director" and has always said she'd resign before the end of the year. I heard this, of all places, on fox news from a Major Garrett report

How did this become a question of whether or not Solinari is an Indian or Arab girl?

I know that people can go through a lot of changes in life, but I have to admit I'd be pretty impressed if Solinari turned into an Arab girl. That'd definitely be a new one.
