Well let me settle the debate.

This means:

1. You could have gone to One-Stop Early Voting that was held from October 16th - November 1st and taken proof of ID and a bill that comes to your new residence. They would have allowed you to change your registration to Wake County and you could have voted.

2. You can STILL go and vote TODAY at a precinct, provided you bring the same proof of identification and residence.

My sister got a DUI and the next day she went to the DMV and got an ID made. It's sorta helpful in all kinds of situations.

^^^^because of a crooked attorney in bladen county and a speeding ticket i got in 2006. its a long fucked up story. i have paid twice for it to be taken care of. i got pulled over in april because a cop randomly (as he admitted) ran my tags and saw that my license was suspended so pulled me over to see if it was me driving. apparently my license had been suspended for a year and a half and i had never been notified (in that time i had purchased a new car, gotten insurance, and been pulled over once on post but was never informed...). i thought things were taken care of in may, i purchased a copy of my driving record, it was clean, had no points because the ticket was dropped...recently i got pulled over again (because my tags and registration were expired by an hour...literally - he didn't even write me a ticket for that) and found out that it's still suspended for some reason. now i am waiting on my court date to find out wtf is going on this time.

^^good for her. i already lost one job because of a lack of transportation to and from work. i now drive (illegally) to and from my other job. i'm not risking going to jail or adding to my already stressful load by illegally driving to the dmv to get an ID. i don't have close enough friends that will drive me wherever i need to go, obviously, as i lost my job. yes, i am sure there are ways it could have been done, but getting to the dmv to get an id so that i can go vote is currently not at the top of my to do list. i said i don't have an id because i don't. i also said my license is suspended because it is. i know they are two different things.

You have said many times that you were going here and there to eat meet people for lunches and hang at a bar (outside of work). Did you drive then or did you have friends that were good enough to pick you up?

As much as you attention whore yourself on this website (I'm not hating on that because we all know I attention whore it with the best of em), I bet you could have gotten a ride to get things taken care of that are pretty essential to everyday life.

I understand going through a hard time, and I'm sure we could all write books about the shit we've gone through or are currently gone through. The reasons you have given all sound like complete excuses for not doing what you should be doing for yourself. you're right. you're all right. voting should be at the top of my list of things to do. right after finding someone who will take me to get an id and spending my food money for the week paying for it. i am a piece of shit for not making sure that was done. i rarely leave my room, much less this house, and in the 2.5-3 weeks i have had my license suspended, i have gone "out" other than working 3-4 times. i go to trivia on tuesdays and usually have a ride there and have gone to rum runners to drink with another employee (for free). i'm not going to be a burden on someone i don't know from the internet and request that they drive me all over the place. yes, i post pictures of myself on the internet. yes i try to be friendly to people i talk to on here. i know very few people from tww irl, though. i take care of things i need to take care of. voting isn't a necessity right now. oh well. it is also much easier to find rides to places at night when other people are already going there and/or don't have other things (like work, maybe) to do. i realize how much i fucking suck and how shitty i am, so let's just drop it. thanks.


btw, it's awesome that posting pictures and talking to people means you "whore yourself out"


and i wouldn't have said any of this except people like you would not leave me alone about me not voting - which really is none of your business anyway. it's not like i made a thread that said "hey i didn't vote"

yes, i know there are ways i could have made sure that i went to vote. but it would have been a bigger expense and pain than it was worth to me. if you want me to say i don't care, then fine. i don't care enough about voting to go through what trouble it would have been to me. happy?
