Why isn't Rooney playing midfield yet? He's the hardest working player every time he steps on the pitch and he's certainly got the skillset to excel there.

Uh, I guess technically he is. He has played more of a CAM role this season. I don't think he'll ever play as an out and out striker. Never really been his style anyway. He just wants the ball.

Also, to the ABUs: Tony V was great.... last season. This year he's shit. I already admitted as much. I think he'll be sold this summer. He has totally regressed.

I mean more, if United need a box to box midfielder like everyone says they do, why hasn't Rooney played there more often? I saw him play left back one time and he was just as good there as Evra is. He's always had good vision, surely he could play less attacking and more distributive. It's not like you guys are hard pressed for attacking players.

i imagine it's b/c he's shown he's capable of scoring 20+ league goals in a season so he gets played up front in the hope that he will score or create. i don't think he's looked all that good playing in the hole though, he's had some nice moments but his touch isn't great.

honestly i'm hoping the rumored PSG interest is genuine and he gets sold. we could use that to buy bale, and hopefully strengthen the midfield with a real box to box player. then we could play kagawa in the hole like he's used to and did to great effect with dortmund.

He's pretty happy living in London and spurs just broke their wage structure to pay him more money. If he does go it won't be anywhere in England

RVP is super happy at Arsenal. He was a fan as a boy and would never go anywhere else in England. Also Arsenal was going to break their wage structure to pay him more.

Not sure why we need Falcao, but a Falcao + RvP partnership sounds tasty. would spell the end of Rooney, and Chicarito would probably want out too.

should also note that i think this is BS

As long as they call a penalty for every shirt pull for the rest of the season it's fair decision.

It was never a corner, then the bullshit penalty, then the same lineman's flag stays down on Walcott when he was offside.

Arsenal have been gifted so many goals by officials this season it's ridiculous.

Bale to United is the stupidest thing ever. DO. NOT. WANT. Anyone worth over 25 million isn't a player United should be looking at really. Give me a 12 million midfielder that can be dynamic and retain possession. I am sure Sir Alex has a few in those scouting reports. I will take a no namer who turns amazing than Bale or Toure.

pricetag aside if you don't want bale then you're either stupid or in denial. and you talk about buying cheap, dynamic, no name midfielders that "turn amazing" as if they grow on fucking trees. if that's what SAF wanted he woulda kept Pogba.

What has Bale done exactly before the last 3 months and that one Inter Milan game two years ago? Not doubting his talent but he doesn't justify the price tag. Also United have a deep scouting history, I am sure there are a few players on the list. At least I would hope so. Sir Alex has proven he prefers massive potential to signing established World Class players. There are plenty of midfielders out there that can massively improve United for under 20 million. We already have Zaha, Kagawa, Nani, Young, and Valencia. No need for Bale. Its a waste of much needed funds and honestly he is overrated. If he carries his form and is more consistent he will justify that ridiculous price tag.

If you are saying that Bale is overrated after all this then you are an idiot. He's clearly a very special talent and still has not reached his peak. Nobody at the upper end of transfer valuations is actually worth what eventually gets paid for them. But when you're already a top team and your club is stacked you have to pay top dollar to add that little extra bit of quality immediately.

You're right, United typically do a good job of buying young and developing talent, but when you've got City and Chelsea spending big every single year you've got to splash the cash every so often to keep up. I don't think Bale would be a good fit for United either. But you've got to be crazy to say that he wouldn't improve the squad if he did.

Millwall's dark history returns, stains progress

Quote :
"Saturday's captain, Danny Shittu, also expressed his sheer frustration. "At this club, you do five things right and one thing wrong and it sets us all the way back again. I knew the Canary Wharf area when it was the Isle of Dogs; I lived in that area for a long time so I know there is a stereotype about Millwall supporters. Even today, when I tell people I play for Millwall, some of them say 'Ohhh ...' I'm trying to promote that it's not that kind of club, but when this sort of thing happens, it makes it so much harder." "

Oh happy day

http://prosoccertalk.nbcsports.com/2013/04/16/nbc-sports-announces-premier-league-programming-plans/

Quote :
"The on-air talent behind NBC Sports’ Premier League coverage wasn’t the only big announcement made Tuesday. NBC also rolled out its programming plans for the 2013-14 season that includes live multi-platform (television and digital) coverage of all 380 matches, live television coverage of Championship Sunday (May 11, 2014) on NBC Universal channels, and more than 600 hours of original and weekly studio programming on NBC Sports Network.

For the first time ever fans will have live access to all 380 games of the Barclays Premier League. Here’s how it works. All matches will be presented live on television with studio pre and post game coverage. The matches will also be streamed live via NBC Sports Live Extra. Games not aired on a designated NBC Universal channel will be made available to distributors via Premier League Extra Time, a package of overflow television channels available at no extra cost for customers who receive NBC Sports Network. As NBC acquired both English and Spanish rights, the bundle will include 76 Spanish-language telecasts, 10 on Telemundo, 66 on Mun2.

NBC will also be providing a host of new and traditional Premier League content, including (but not limited to): Premier League Countdown (a preview of the 2013-14 Barclays Premier League season); Premier League 36 ( NBC Sports Network’s acclaimed series that follows athletes for the 36 hours leading up to a game); and Premier League Goal Zone (a 30-minute program on Sunday highlighting all the goals of the weekend) as well as traditional favorites Match of the Day, Match of the Day 2 and Barclay’s Premier League Preview/Review/World and much more.

Last October when NBC Universal shelled out the reported $250 million to acquire the three year package of rights for the English Premier League, many wondered what kind of coverage would be provided. The answer is now clear – unprecedented coverage. Whether you support Arsenal or Norwich, Manchester United or Swansea, you’ll be able to catch every single one of your squad’s matches live from your couch or standing in line at the airport. Say goodbye to monthly fees for digital platforms and say hello to a fully integrated multi-platform setup that looks poised to take the Premier League coverage in America to the next level."

Can someone explain the NBC thing? Will the games air on the main NBC channel or affiliate channels? What do I have to do to gain access to it? How does the online content work? All 380 matches will be available online? and most importantly where will match of the day air?!!

^ West Ham away is a very tough match. They always play well against us. I thought we had a good game, just struggled in midfield. I don't like Rooney in midfield, he needs to start up front with cleverley or ando in midfield or not start at all.

west ham are some game raising pricks but that's a very small part of it. rooney should've been on the bench. kagawa should only be played in the hole. valencia should never be heard from again. nani should've started or atleast been brought on, he's our best winger by miles. and there's more...

Well at least it wasn't John Terry. Then I'd REALLY have to worry.

(And as for the fame thing, I'm not too worried. She's done business with Middle Eastern royalty and Jay Z, so I feel okay.)
