What are the rules for reviewing possession? There were 2 questionable at best possession calls in the 4th.. Does it have to be under a specific time?

i think it has to be under 2 minutes in the 2nd or 4th quarter (or overtime)

What type of egregious foul would it take for James to foul out?

all the bad calls happened before that time and then under that time the 2 the reviewed ended up being right. dumb rule. do it or don't do it.

i can't wrap my mind around it.

1. playing hill at pg despite inability to dribble
2. subbing hibbert for sam young as offense for defense

[Edited on May 22, 2013 at 11:56 PM. Reason : only reason george got fouled for the 3 was because hill couldn't dribble.]

MJ also wouldn't have taken 2 and a half steps before starting his dribble

Lebron cementing his status as the greatest of alltime.

Bosh with yet another no show. Miami wouldn't win the title this year without chris andersen. Guy has always been awesome.

Leave it to george karl to bench one of the best players in the league for YEARS lol

nobody would have ever given jordan two free layups in the last 10 seconds.

That shit is just inexcusable. The heat didn't even expect to get the first fucking option twice in a row.

Would george karl have benched hibbert?

[Edited on May 23, 2013 at 12:15 AM. Reason : and lebron is a better straight line driver than jordan]

the cement is still pretty wet

Jordan has 3x as many NBA Finals MVPs as Lebron has playoff game winning shots

and the big man from Boston via San Fran, who has 11 titles, said recently in a commercial that one thing these youngsters dont understand, is it is, and has always been, about buckets

not eFG% or WP48...but buckets

catches the ball with a foot outside the 3 point arc, doesn't dribble until the free throw line...definitely not a travel

its not a travel. he took a step and put the ball down at the same time.

Hibbert not being in the game doesnt matter at this point, the play was designed too well to worry with trivial stuff like that.

Anderson was the key to this game with points and rebounds.

The Pacers would be good if they had a legit PG.

he took 2 steps, its clearly a travel by the rulebook

but they're not gonna call it

but there is a good reason why he flies past the defender, because he doesnt have to dribble

[Edited on May 23, 2013 at 12:24 AM. Reason : and he plays him to the right]

lol all lebron did was cut to the ball, turn and drive for the layup.

How the hell can you tell me that hibbert in Sam young's spot standing under the basket would not have been able to somewhat contest that layup?

as Sir Charles said, Hibbert would've been guarding Bosh, who started out up top, if Hibbert played Lebron's drive, Bosh would've most likely had a wide open jumper...which he might've missed, but still

when Bosh drains that jumper, everybody is like "omg hibbert you idiot, how do you leave him wide open"

Lebron has like 1 playoff buzzer beater every 5 years, nobody expects him to have the balls to blatantly travel for an easy layup

[Edited on May 23, 2013 at 12:33 AM. Reason : if hibbert was in the game, its a different playcall]

[Edited on May 23, 2013 at 12:33 AM. Reason : bosh started the play where lebron caught the ball, your hindsight is invalid]

I had miami losing this game cause they always start out bad
But I'm looking at this:

Indiana +7 in FTA
1 tech on Miami
Lucky ass three from George at end of regulation
Ghost foul and 3 FTA by George in OT
Wade 6 fouls
Lebron 5 fouls
Lebron 7 FTA

Lebron rofl at everyone cause he isn't clutch.I think the pacers win next game

with 2 seconds you can almost play zone switching everything leaving hibbert under the basket (no 3 seconds). Theres also no time for drive and dish.

I could live with lebron fading away on hibbert inside or bosh shooting over george outside.

there is no worse scenario than what happened. theres a 110% chance of lebron making that shot.

lebron doesn't have a low number of game winners because hes unable to hit them. lebron only failed so many times because everyone else respected him.

interesting, all this time i thought the main reason lebron has a couple career playoff game winners is because he generally prefers to stand in the corner and not touch the ball

if you watch the highlights also, george hill should have had a lot more turnovers because he had so many mis handles including the play where george threw the ball away and the play where george was fouled (yes he was fouled on the elbow) should have been a turnover to miami because hill lost the ball and got lucky to get it back.

hill can clearly not handle pressure and the series will be determined by vogel's decision to play a pg or not play a pg and turn the ball over a million times.

battier

chalmers
cole

all to be so quiet another game. a combination of those guys will show up and hit outside shots.

noob, they are already in deep trouble. what would you do do cut down on turnovers outside of making george have the ball 95% of the time and guard lebron?

[Edited on May 23, 2013 at 1:42 AM. Reason : augustin can handle the ball without being ripped and can hit the open 3.]

He got fouled like three separate times on that first lay-up. Lebron gets that Shaq treatment...he's so strong that getting fouled barely effects him...so it doesn't get called as much as it should Compare the fouls called on Kevin Durant to the ones missed on Lebron and it's baffling.

He's too quick/fast for someone that size...it's just not fair. He also would have either yammed all over Hibbert or gotten fouled if Hibbert would have been in...AND if Hibbert would have been able to get to the basket quick enough for it to matter...which he wouldn't.

Barring a horrible injury...he will go down as the GOAT. He's just too good.

ok I watch the game. That was a 100% Pacer game. half court/ rebounding/ second chance pts. this is the thing. the heat can win a Pacer type game. the Pacers can not win a Heat type game. They turn the ball over too much. The heat will eat you alive turning the ball over. I dont expect that to change.

George is playing out his mind unfortunately he's guarding Lebron. I expect him to tire out.
Birdman isn't getting that game again. you dont have to worry about that.even if he does, big deal. let him get his. Miami played like garbage. those three point shooting bums hadn't hit anything all playoffs. feels like last year.

I like how Lebron just walked off after that layup. like it was whatever. time to move on.

forget the coaching, you just have tip your hat to the team. the pacer should have lost the game in regulation.

pacers should win next game.

Thought Wade had a pretty solid game. Didn't crush it, but came through when they needed him to. Had a really sick move near the end of the game, but monster Hibbert came in to block the finish (ended up in a clutch three by Lebron with the shot clock expiring).

Heat definitely didn't play well. It was the Lebron/Wade/Birdman show. They need to hit more threes, but showed they can grind it out if need be.

It might be a short series, but it will be a tough, entertaining series.

LOL at TT10 complaining that LeBron traveled on that play. This is the NBA and the routinely let much more obvious travels go so why in the hell do you think they would call a travel on that play? Honestly from that gif, Lebron does not travel IMO.

What I don't understand is why Sam Young does not foul Lebron there. At least a foul and forcing him to shoot two keeps the game alive and forces Lebron to come up with two pressure FTs.

This should be a good series. Can't wait for West to knock someone out. That dude looks like he'd make a hell of a body guard.

LBJ is too quick. There's no time for a foul. If you play basketball you know it. And they are pretty tired at the end of an OT probably.

its just bad coaching. ok. lebron is the best player. that doesn't mean you just give up and give him a layup. i've never seen such a poor defensive finish to a game. both teams choked hard on defense multiple times down the stretch. miami never should have been in that position to lose.

first of all sam young was tired from what?

2nd of all hibber would have definitely been there s you start with 2 feet in the paint and its 2 steps ofver to be at the basket.

3rd of all lebron would not have dunked it on hibbert. he hadn't been able to do that all game. they would not have even ran that play if hibbert was in the game and somebody would have most likely bricked an awkward jumpshot.

it was not a good pacers game. they can do better than that turnover wise. the heat can do better also but it just wasn't a well played game by either team.

lebron is the big thing. i don't think he willl have more 30 point triple doubles but thats what it will take.
