it's kind of gross...it's an actual cut, with fluids leaking out and such. I don't think his muscles/joints are injured...it's more a matter of he can't bend his knee for a long time, otherwise the wound will re-open and blood will pour out.

this sucks for Arsenal, obviously. but maybe Vermaelen will step it up.

also, this explains his standing up as though he were fine, and then dropping to the ground again...sometimes when you get cut, it takes a few seconds for the pain to register, and to feel the blood on your skin and clothes.

to be fair to Ribs, it was IMStoned420 that was telling us we should be scared of how Spurs looked and I think he made the corvette comment as well.

now, Ribs did say he'd take AVB over Wenger but we all say things that look stupid after. I said I didn't really care if Suarez had to be sold before the season and that was just dumb.

Going into this season AVB was doing a pretty decent job and as a Spurs fan of course he would say that over the manager of their biggest rival.

There was never a planet where AVB was or is a better manager than Wenger.

As for Spurs, after thinking about it, its still all there for them. Surely 1-3 is going to be a mix of City, Chelsea and Arsenal but fourth is still there and they still should improve as their squad settles... though I'd still bet United sneaks fourth.

I am not so sure...Liverpool have looked sharper than Chelsea this season, on the whole.

I find it hard to envision Mourinho finishing below 3rd...that's my biggest reason for believing in Chelsea, really.
