Yeah I stumbled on it because I saw one the Inside Pack Sports guys tweet something about Savage Wolves NIL collective. Which is different than the other NIL I’ve seen discussed (Pack of Wolves). So I just went down a rabbit hole looking at Savage Wolves Twitter account (hilarious name) and that’s where I I saw that dude with Brennan Armstrong.

NIL, in theory is fine. But the creeps and crooks that it encourages is not fine. Make the athletes employees of the school. Put em under contract. Boosters will still be creeps but maybe less openly? Idk

I don’t get NCSOS on KenPom.

Nevada played an NAIA team and their NCSOS is 71. Ours is 308.

I saw Josh Goodson tweeting about the bubble and Nevada specifically…so that’s why I was looking at this. It looks like Nevada played a lot of road games in their OOC schedule which probably helps. But I just don’t get it.

Im not sure how that works, that team just has a 0 for rank, should be like 368 imo. But other than that, nevadas lowest ranked opp is 228 whereas we played 4 outside 300.

Yeah I’m not defending our schedule because it was not good. That’s gotta improve. But it definitely feels like you should maybe be dinged significantly for playing NAIA teams? I mean…if the committee is gonna sue non conference SOS as a metric, then you gotta find a way to count that against a team.
