I know what you are going through, Exile's confessor. My sister was telling my family and me that we needed to help pay her traffic violations and part of her drug related crime stuff and that ended up being a lie. Addicts and their dealers are the biggest liars ever. I do hope my sister one day will not be a pusher or a taker but that doesn't look like the case. I hope you get to the point where you can feel you don't have to pay for this stuff anymore. I finally arrived at that point after wasting so much of my money. When you love someone, you def want to save them but I realized this was just putting her further in her mentality and illness. Good luck. Drugs are a bitch for some people.

It's a hard lesson, and mostly for younger folk, but if you (aka family) are always there to bail them out of troubles, then lessons are rarely learned. I'm not saying a few nights in jail is the end all cure (well, in some cases it is), but after they've spent time in jail or had to produce money of their own, it will hopefully start weighing on some of these mistfits. If daddy always takes them by the hand, then a major portion of due consequences is eliminated and the pain of screwing up is lessened.

I know how you feel. I took a black guy to prom and my dad did not like that at all. I had to put him in his place. :-( Luckily my dad and his family have gotten better, I guess, and hate to say it, since my grandfather died. He was the biggest racist bigot in our family. My brother married a woman from the Virgin Islands and she is black and all my family love her so much. Diversity makes us better people for sure.
