My response:

Do other people in your/her family know about her drinking problems? If so, then maybe it would help for you to get a few other folks involved. Let me know just how bad her drinking affects the people around her. It sounds like she has a SERIOUS problem... and that she needs help.

If she refuses to get help for her drinking, then you can't be with her. Basically, by staying with an alcoholic that refuses to get help, you're enabling their behavior. Not good for you, for her, for your future children and for the people around you.

dump them. if they don't think you're worth it to clean up their act, then they're not worth your time. If they go and ruin everything in their life that's THEIR fault not yours.

I speak from experience. It's better to just walk away now before they drag you down with them. My ex ended up dropping out of college because they were too busy doing drugs to bother with their classwork and I didn't bother keeping up with them after that.

She's not going to change until her drinking begins to negatively impact her life and sometimes that means hitting rock bottom. You are not doing her a favor by staying with her if her drinking has become intolerable to you. However, you have to approach the end of the relationship while she is stone cold sober and not while she's intoxicated.
