don't worry dude. depression after a break up is normal and 6 months isn't that long. it will take time but things will get better. don't even think about getting into another serious relationship. Casual sex may help, or may make it worse so be careful. right now is a time for you to focus on you. get into exercising (it really helps with depression) or some other hobby to keep yourself occupied. stay busy. if you are busy you won't have time to drink and it helps with loneliness.

but exercising won't make you less depressed within a day or a week. You have to start planning things thinking to yourself that you're going to be depressed but you'll force yourself to do those things anyway. Just foster a neutral attitude toward them and over time you'll be back to feeling normal.

you'll have something to come home to and take care of that loves you and you also have to walk it so that makes you have to at least walk for exercise.

so go to shelter and save a life and save yourself from being a moper.

#1: Perfectly normal. Even though I'm not interested in any of my exes anymore, I still sometimes wonder if they ever think of me (or, with narcissism, miss me/our relationship). You probably will for quite a while, and more often than not, so will they. Such is life, carry on and love the one you're with.
