Is the offer that it's $50? It's hard to tell from the ad really. That's really not that much off (just $10) and when I got it in August, I think I paid ~$30.

For anyone thinking about doing this, it is a lot of fun. But don't forget to factor in $40 (if you find a local artist who will do it for cheap) to $140 (craft store, michaels, etc) for the stretching and mounting.

I'm having my first real period in 5 years. I hate it.

I came home from wal-mart with a bag full of chocolate.

I knooooooooooow. I mean I could buy it but I'd feel bad about blowing 300 bucks on a dress I'd wear probably once or twice I don't go to many places that would require a dress like that

you'd definitely have to find more fancy places to go if you bought it.

or maybe just make every day events fancy.

fancy grocery shopping
fancy getting the mail
fancy walk around the park

I have no idea how I did. It just said it was on clearance for 4.88 from 50 bucks and with the code SHOP40 (for 40% off) it came out to 2.93. WIN!

My last haircut was an angled stacked bob. It's grown out quite a bit and starting to look kinda funky (and not in a good way). I really need to find the time to get this cleaned up. I'm tempted to trim up the front on my own so that it doesn't look so strange, but I'm afraid of screwing it up.

But at least I had time to color my hair! I'd gone without color for a good two years and the gray hairs were really driving me bonkers.

hmmmm I chickened out with the last dresses. But this one seems more practical. I could wear it to almost any nice event. Wedding, Christmas party, date night....I wish they still had the champagne colored one in stock, but I like the navy Would look good on even pale skin.

I saw that dress yesterday when I was browsing online. I bought a tart dress but the length is odd (between knee and ankle) so when it comes in, if it fits and I like it, I will get the hem tailored to around my knee.

Lindsey I also like the lace skirts. Did you see those?

well my body type looks really good in a sheath style of dress as long as I find one that actually fits the top part of my body

is it the sheath style you don't like? jw

nah I'm a huge lover of the sheath

That green is an awful shade with the cheap tablecloth pattern in the background

the navy just looks cheap as well

i got this over the weekend. i got an email saying it shipped last night. the length is all sorts of wrong for my short frame but if the dress fits everywhere else, i plan on getting the length hemmed to around the knee.

I have to go to a formal work Christmas party. I hate formal Christmas parties, especially since I don't really own any formal clothes right now and am broke Any suggestions on how to look dressy without breaking my bank?

Thrift stores? Not sure how formal your party is going to be, but I got the dress I am probably going to wear to mine at Goodwill for $5. I always regret it if I decide I am just going to try to dress up a more casual outfit instead of wearing something fancier.

Yeah I definitely plan on going to thrift stores. I can't really afford anything new right now. I'm thinking maybe a black skirt and some sort of nice top? I probably need to buy shoes too

^^Or hit TJ Maxx/Ross type stores and look for a little black dress. Can never go wrong with that, and dress it up with accessories.

IMO you'd be better off with a dress than a skirt outfit.

see I love doing a party skirt and top combo with some fantastic jewelry and fab heels for a party like that

when they add formal is when I will go with a dress
