sometimes it may actually be on your end.

Because of the google desktop stuff we are hosting, there have been 2 or 3 of us on the servers at all time monitoring everything closely, not so much as a burp today.

Let me know if you keep having webmail issues. Most likely its slow RR dns or just local internet issues.

In my case, I was really just asking if anyone else was having the same problem...Not trying to announce to the world that they were down (which they weren't.) I was able to get to the management console for my website, but I couldn't access the website itself or the progress-systems.com homepage. The p-s homepage is hosted on the same server as the customer websites IIRC which made me question whether or not that server was down.

Google released thier full version of google desktop today with plugin support. A friend of mine had been working with google for the past month to get his plugins through thier QA so they could go live today with the release of thier software.

Not sure what that was. My pager didnt go off until 5am this morning to tell me there was a problem.

Apache and mysql were running and accepting requests, just not responding to them. Mail was still working fine.

I restarted both apache and mysql and it seems ok. Nothing wierd in the logs either.

Everything should be ok as of 5am this morning, but ill keep watch on this just in case it is a recurring problem.

Hey Woodfoot I believe that he has phpBB on there. I set up a message board on mine really easy, just fill out the setup forms with all your info and it does the work for you. http://www.agentclan.net is my forum hosted on there, it took about 2 hours total to set up and configure that way (including adding a photo album and portal). A lot of people will talk shit about phpBB, and for good reason b/c it's not as secure as some forum software, but if you want to make something simple it's easy to use.

Someone probably did respond, but depending on your email address (especially gmail), our mails have been getting thrown in the spam lately, PM me on here with your name and the domain name and ill see whats going on.

The only open support ticket we've got is an FTP issues one. I don't see any billing support tickets open.

Sorry about that, I have been on vacation, and I had agreed to pay someone to maintain the stuff while I was gone. Yeah, that obviously didnt work out too well.

Im working through the backlog of email and support tickets, and have handled as many as i can today. Ill be answering the rest tomorrow.

On a side note, if anyone is interested in filling in while im on vacation, etc... Drop me a PM with some of your experience, and possibly a time to set up an interview. It would be good part time work for someone with decent technical background. Pay is negotiable.

Im technically on vacation until the end of next weekend, but one of my larger clients called me to talk about the issues that were going on, so Ive come back online to handle this situation.
