^^ first I'll address the post above - you won't craft your own weapons unless they add something much later.. you can just find nice modifications for them - for armor you still wind up having to locate the crafters who can make the best stuff that ya want and gathering the mats to make it

also just wait for the later missions... it actually gets a bit tricky without a good team to work with... the last bit of PvE.. the Temple.. and PvP is why you will see they include a headset with the collector's edition

Oh... tonight was a total blast with this game... after finals out here my sleeping schedule was totally out of whack so I decided to stay up through the night and this game is definitely good to help with that like any addictive online game

For those starting out and enjoying the game PvE.. you really will enjoy the PvP element later on.. we just threw together a group of friends and kept the Hall of Heros a large part of the night into the morning just to aggrivate the Koreans since America literally held it all damn day. Although.. I'm not too thrilled about the fame changes.. we were getting 6 fame max I believe after holding it the 4th + times.. never really changed.. started low like 1.. 2.. 4.. 6.. 6.. 6...... We also had a bug.. or rather bad luck with The Vault a couple of times where when we lost the HoH we came back to the vault waiting room and just sat there for nearly half an hour killing time... we just restarted - was quicker.

In any case.. I'm still really enjoying this game.. it has been a much MUCH better release than other titles as far as problems/bugs/fixing things, etc goes.

it sounds like all the best pets are pre-searing, which sucks because i rushed into searing at like lvl 2 so i could play with some friends who were already there

Im having a pretty big problem. Whenever anyone invites me to a guild, they get an error that says "Transaction Failed error = 2 " and I never get the invite. I am not in a guild, havent been for a week. Ive verified this by no guild icon, cant use guild chat, and G shows the "go to the guild registrar to form a guild" message. Please fix this problem or tell me how asap. Its very disappointing not being able to join my friends in their guilds (we tried 3 seperate guilds to verify it wasnt a specific guild problem). In all cases of lost items/characters/experience we are unable to replace or restore these items, however we can possibly use this information to prevent this from happening in the future. - Is this reproducible? How often can you reproduce the bug?

all I ever hear is bear for a meatshield or lynx for a fast attacker... pets have become pretty useless in 8v8 PvP so I really am not sure

8v8 PvP is where the fun is - they fixed the balth aura bug.. still easy to farm sigils - I've been very freakin tempted to sell out to the "ebay selling" method of making money - not like I can ever spend this much in game ;x

Celestial Sigils are what people need to create a guild hall and then compete in Guild vs. Guild battles.

To get one you have to win in the 8v8 GvG at the Tombs. The goal is to knock the current team holding the Hall of Heros out. In the past.. doing so would give you a chest that gives 1 Sigil and 1 Godly weapon. They recently changed it so the chest gives 3 Sigils and a chance for a weapon or armor drop.

Sigils just sell for a hell of a lot - sooo.. it can be used as a means of farming cash if you can hold the hall.

i love air magic so much. everything i heard said go frost with a W/E, but frost spells all cost an assload (save for 1). they do more dmg but (at least for now) i find being able to constantly knock someone down just as effective. insanely helpful for pve at minimum, stupid healing pods.

I just made a new char I love -- a El/Mo and I dont have any use for any of the elem skills that aren't fire. I use 4 monk and 4 elem and all the elem are fire.

With spells like fire-storm, lava font, and especially phoenix -- i dont know why i'd switch. Can you recommend certain skills in particular for other areas?


Btw my ingame name is 'Kain Masamune' if anyone wants to romp around some missions or what not

fire does rock, but as a Warrior Ele I'd be sacing all my warrior dmg abilities to use fire, not to mention i dont have that much mana (34 with lotta +energy gear).

for me i use my warrior skills + lighting, whirlwind, and gale. lightning is just as a supplemental range dmg or if someone is resistant to melee. mainly i run into a crowd and whirlwind to knock most down while doing nice dmg. rinse repeat. i use gale either instead or with whirlwind to keep healing monsters or bosses down so they cant do anything. tears open my mana but i can keep a boss down the entire fight.

Air:

Chain Lightning, Lightning Orb, Lightning Strike, Enervating Charge

Water:

Deep Freeze, Ice Spikes, Maelstrom, Mist Form or Water Trident, + wards

Earth:

Crystal Wave/Obsidian Flame combo (exhaustion hell)

Eruption, Earthquake, any snare/armor combo, and wards

try those types of things out for PvP

I quit playing for a few months and played WoW, but then I quit that and came back to GW. Right now I'm working on unlocking everything, and I want to join a guild I can PvP with and such.
