I have found young's to be a great brewery, they have a milk stout outmeal stout double chocolate and im sure various others. If you are a dark beer fan young's is a great one to start

I tried the Old Rasputin Imperial Russian Stout last night. I, too, found it wonderful. But I'm wondering when we're going to get some beers from Stone brewery. Anyone know? They have some of the best beers in the world, hands down...

The Saucer has a few, it'd be best to call before busy hours for the most up to date list

I tried the new CBC Imperial Stout at Southend the other night and it was pretty good, same goes for the Highland Tasgall Ale. The Top of the Hill barleywine left something to be desired.

yes, the saucer has around 25-30 new bottled craft beers. you can just ask the bartender/waitress for the complete list. they are also on the chalkboard when you walk in.

they have chimay triple, victory hop devil, and victory golden monkey on draft.

Chimay Grande Reserve (blue bottle) it was everything that I expected from a $9 bottle of beer, it was delicious, absolutely delightful.

but lets face it, I bought a 12pack of bud light as backup for the same price... the chimay lasted about an hour... the bud lasted alllll daaaayyyyy long... and I was shitfaced. As a college student while I do care about good beer, I also care about getting wasted and not breaking the bank...

I know its not a craft beer, but recently I started cycling through stoudts again to find ones that reallly suit my fancy, I found that Beamish is spectacular, silky smooth and not accidic like guinness but still a heavy beer, then I made the mistake of purchasing boddingtons... not bad, just not good either.

Midas Touch.

Just had it the other night. I usually like my dark beers, but this is a nice change. 9% and tasty. Has almost a honey taste to it but not overly sweet (just as Mackeson's has choc. but its not overly sweet)

Midas Touch is good as fuck, even tastier after it warms up a little. Interesting story behind it, too.

you'll find plenty of lighter beers with alot of flavor

this state needs more sour/lambic beers. rodenbach grand cru is freaking awesome.

cantilion gueze is awesome.
i just wish they werent so damn expensive.

The Edenton Pumpkinhead was recently released in bottles, and is pretty good. The label is pretty cool in itself.

random comment: i made a mistake last time with a 6 pack of dogfish head chicory stout (only 5.2%). i didn't know what the hell chicory was, but i thought i'd try something new. i kinda made the same face i make when i eat something really sour.

The Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout hit local stores this week

This stuff is really good...thick, lots of chocolate aroma and flavor, just awesome

I tried Sierra Nevada's Celebration Ale. I can barely distinguish it from their Pale Ale. It wasn't what I was expecting at all.

Can anyone suggest any good Octoberfests or Winters? I like the overly spicy kinds similar to the Pumpkinhead. I tried Redhook's Winterhook and liked it.
