Jason's Deli is the heat. When my company has lunch meetings, they get Jason's Deli to cater. Their club or Turkey smash is awesome

angry ale's, moosehead, some other place off montford.

then at that shopping center you have hef's and the lounge next to it.

then across the street you have sir edmond haley's in the park of park road shopping center, that's one of my favorite places.

^ OMG KIRK

I freakin' LOVE sir edmund halleys

I was brought there about a month ago when visiting a friend, and OH EM GEE

beer is great, food is AMAZING

and apparently it's like 5 mins away from south park mall (where I work)

speaking of... anyone up for lunch today? My boss is out sick again so it's either HT food, or well - lunch with someone

Kirk, we're SO meeting up at Sir edmund Halleys for a dinner sometime

to get to Sir Ed's from Southpark:

Go down Barclay Downs away from Fairview (N)
When you get to the end of Barclay Downs, take a left on Runnymede (or it may have turned into Woodlawn at this point)
Go down Runnymede/Woodlawn until you get to Park Road Shopping Center on your right, tada.

We'll get lunch whenever, you working Monday?

^^^ nice seeing you monday night - it's been far too long!

I think I might see if a few people I know want to go to Sir Edmund's on a friday after work for some beers, that guy that your friend Jay knows who works at Wachovia and anyone else, since we're (mainly) all in the area.

Let me know if you'd be up for next friday, or hell - even this one

and ^ - the fireworks were awesome, watched them from a friends house and had a great view - <3 the 4th of july

finally made it out to Concord Mills last night. I live like 10 mins from there but just never felt like going. That place is pretty nice. A buddy of mine bought a new head unit from Circuit City so we wasted some time in the mall. Hit up Dave and Busters and had a blast. That place is awesome.

^ Concord Mills is the redneck mall of the QC area. alot of bumpkins roll in from the surrounding counties... it's ok the first few times, but you can get all the same stuff with less crowds elsewhere

^I'm not a mall person anyway and you're going to have a rednecks and wannabes there because of Bass Pro Shops.

I live closer to Northlake which is awesome during the week. Nobody seems to there until the weekends so Mon-Thur, we go eat at the resturants surrounding.

yes she's wonderful to look at. luckily you get plenty of time when it takes you 2.5 hours to get your beer. seriously they need more bartenders.

I second the Park Rd. area. I guess its my age now (coming up on 28 fast). I'd rather avoid the downtown scene and Montford has a lot of cool places (not so crowded). Love the wings at Moosehead. I've been to Angry Ale's trivia a few times, but it starts a little late. I got married a couple of months ago, so I spend most bar time down the road at the Ballantyne Fox and Hound. Got the mug club card. 1/2 wings or nachos all the time and $1 off beer (also served in larger glass). Not a bad deal. Wish they had HD TV's though.

Thomas Street Tavern is one of the best bars in town.

Gotta love ping pong tables at the bar.

The Rusty Rudder is a close second though ($1 beer and a view of the lake? awesome!)

Good to hear there's a State club. I'll be wherever they are, watching the games.

Also, can you guys recommend a good place to go for happy hour uptown?

I work down south and never go uptown for happy hour.

Also, anyone ever go out in South End? Just moved there and wondered where the good spots are, besides Tyber Creek.
