if you havent give re4 a try, the other ones were fun but i would have never wanted to buy them. re4 is a completely different and quite enjoyable experience. pretty much constant action.

that said, i stopped sucking after chapter 2 and started whooping ass. cruised through a few lvls and now i just got to alma. she doesnt seem as hard as some of u were saying (perhaps you mean the 2nd time), but she's got a few attacks with some umph to um.

killed her on my 7th try. 8 if you count the one i somehow got torn up by lil ninjas before her thus had low life going into it...dont ask me how. used 4 of the smaller health potions and a greater magic one. inferno spell really gets to her when she's got you by the balls.

i used my mighty brain to cheat and beat the machine but yeah, if anyone is getting frustrated and cant beat her, that definately helps an assload.

without inferno it woulda been a bit harder, cuz i used all 4 of my health potions. guess id prolly have needed a few more, but i dont like to buy them and im still not good enough to never use them (goddamn jump puzzles + archers were pissing me off).

thats why i always got pissed off at half the castlevania games. the ones where you have to stay on pillars while fighting dracula are so gay, especially if you just misjump instead of getting knocked off.

took me 4 times to defeat DOKU once i figured out his movements


you can go back when you get towards the end

when you reach the last level you can go back to any previous level

i found doku to be a bit harder than alma, but yeah he's quite easy once you figure out his lil routine (as with any game really). weird thing is ghost-wise he raped me 2x then i went back and killed him only using 1 or 2 potions, weird, but thats this game for you. id say doku2>doku>alma>alma2.

i dont know why but chapters 1-6 seemed intensely harder than all the middle chapters. plus some of these bosses are insanely easy compared to others and seem almost random.

im now on chapter 15, bout 14 hours into it, enjoying it and glad to finally have all this extra yellow essence to spend on upgrades and not worry about getting some new badass weapon (i assume).

they're really not so bad once you get the rhythm, but goddamn if they arent lame. i just jump slash using the flails then land and do the xxx combo, gives you enough time to jump again before the next wave. if you dont time it right though its back to yumm yumm land of diminishing health.

yeah you absolutely have to use the flail against the fish. and he is right, you must learn the rhythm before you can attempt to take them out. However, if you can hit all 46 of the fish in a row, you will get around 5000 essence points that you can buy stuff with.

I beat Normal and started hard and some of the missions...It's amazing how much better you are (even though the enemies are harder) after playing through the game once...

beat it. wtf the end boss was so fucking easy, i used like 3 or 4 potions total and that was just in the beginning of the fight. hell it took me about 10 tries just to get up that fucking crumbling wall (goddamn 3d platforming) and 1 try to kill him.

oh well it was fun and ill probably play it again (though i only got 38 scarabs, perhaps ill use a walkthrough next time).

havent done um today, think im on the missions after the military ones (row #4 or something?). i didnt do all of the ones before it, but enough to unlock that one.

1. random enemies (5/5) - not too bad
2. bosses + enemies (3/5) - not so bad, just not doing well on those last 2
3. worms and sewer things (5/5) - mostly just getting patterns
4. army crap (2-3/5) - i hated the regular military crap in the game and i hate this area though dynamo was easy as hell
5. big demons (1/5) - nto used to fighting these douches specially not mr fire knight
