well they interviewed the guy irl on 2093482309 different shows where he explained that it's more about the emotional journey that he took as a soldier, not about the fighting. 11/7/2005 8:05:16 AM |

I like the movie. The part of the girlfriends and wives leaving and cheating is so true. The part where the guy watches the movie and his wife is on there fucking, happen to someone irl. 11/7/2005 1:09:07 PM |

this movie had several chances to capture its audience and missed imo
its a movie i will forget
there was nothing to capture your heart or mind
making a movie about how boring something is isnt a great idea
i liked the movie, but was very disappointing 11/7/2005 1:24:43 PM |

should they have changed the plot of the book to appeal to a younger audience? 11/7/2005 3:12:37 PM |

^ couple next to me wouldnt shut up during the previews. i kept looking over at them with a wtf face. then after about 2 mins of the movie they got up and left i think (think their friends were with them and they stayed). i have no clue wtf happened.
tehn again i came straight from paintball and was muddy/sweaty...maybe i got them to move cuz i reaked (but i dont think i did, no one in my party said anything).

I saw it. that line at the start and end of the movie where its like he learns about the rifle, and comes home and always remembers the rifle, like he feels out of place with the world hes returned to, reminds me sort of of my friend who went to iraq and came home but is having problems adjusting back to normal so he reups to go back. made me think on some things. good movie, not really a war movie. 11/16/2005 11:20:12 PM |

once you're immersed on one way of life for an extended period of time, and then return back to the same old life you've grown up in, you always get a reverse-culture-shock feeling... and all the symptoms that come with it.. depression, feelings of not fitting in, feelings of needing to go back to where you were... 11/16/2005 11:54:49 PM |
