not really, I've looked over that text before. It is no joke. It's an ugly blue/white format but besides
that it seemed about as good as any other freshman physics text. BJU actually has very high academic standards because the discipline, that many of you mock, allows BJU to require much more of students than we do say at NCSU, at least in the freshman courses. I sat in a few math classes because we had break and BJU was in session and I was visiting a friend. The mathematics taught undergraduate is more advanced then what passes for the same course here. Not to say there is more math at BJU, that'd be crazy, just that what they do teach they do wholeheartedly.

just to help enlighten you guys a little...nothing too special about the news posted by loneshark. Economic growth and development at the cost of some people...that is quite normal.
Farmer's complaint is not enough $$ Government's complaint is not enough $$ it's quite true that businesses have to "purchase" rights to do business in China. It's very hard...but that's another topic. ...the point is...yes Chinese Fire Drill! this time for real!!

I wanted to point out that it was actually much worse than what I originally thought. They would
have allowed credit for courses based on the BJU text, if they agreed to mod out the explicitly Biblical prefaces.

It is not that the text has insufficient physics analysis, rather that they didn't like the
Christian comments at the beginning of the chapters. Here is some real censorship, where's your outcry?

BTW, BJU is an accredited university, and BJU graduates have been very sucessful in many venues of
life.

It is a university, if it so wishes it can disallow whatever it wants (assuming it is a private university). If it is a public university, then it can do whatever the state government wants.

^ well, as far as democracy goes, yes. Sure, most states have constitutional rules against such activities, but if they didn't then the decision to do so would be a democratic decision.

Remember, "democracy" does not mean "correct decision"
