cdubya...how much for the RSMs? what are they made out of?

^^^^ yeah the M badge is coming off soon. I really liked it when it was new but it's starting to chip and look like crap. I kinda liked how it resembled the E30 M3, plus the trunk is debadged.

"6061-T6 aluminum"
for the shock mount plate and
Quote :
"Shore A 65 hardness rubber bushings"
for the rsm bushings. cool design, rebuildable and don't require access to the trunk to replace the bushing.

Selling because my gc coilover kit came w/ a set of RSMs.

I paid 95 plus shipping. So I'd like get something close to that.

^haven't gotten an alignment yet. I'll probably take it to rob (?) at mmautowerks sometime soon. As it stands, nah325i and I eyed it. has quite a bit of caster and negative camber

Kevin, that's right.

I did swap strut mounts and my k-mac camber plates over from my stock setup. So that should help in terms of adjustability.

NICE MAN!!! i want to get a ride after you get the alignment. i'd like to see how it feels on the street. I'm going to pass on the RSMs for now...thanks though. i replaced mine over a year ago w/ the e46 RSMs and the Z3 reinforcement plate on top and bottom. they seem to be holding out ok.

because I dont Auto-X, thats why no suspension, and Im not going to lie, yes my car is slow, I would probably lose to a good number of people up here, but at least I admit it instead of going around acting like a jackass that has the most badass car ever, and swinging from the nuts of BMWs and those who drive them.

And cdubya, last I checked I wasnt sucking my own dick, in fact I got laid last night, how about yourself?

bad call man bad call... thats a tww n00b mistake.

anyway.. bmws are cool but they cost $texas to make really fast (400hp+)
mustangs are a dime a dozen but cost like 3k for 400-500 rwhp

Yeah, but the thing is, BMWs are more about precision/handling, crispness and all that comes with having a well engineered chasis/suspension, etc. You can't really make a Mustang handle like an M3, and you certainly can't make one have as good a ride to handling tradeoff as an M3...

So I think what we're trying to say here is...

...go fuck yourself.

Look, dude, I've been there. I had the RWD behemoth, I've had the 4 cyl FWD, I've had auto, stick, yadda yadda, just like most people on this board.

This thread was not created as a BMW brag session; there's a reason these cars are as well-respected, highly-priced, and renowned as they are - they're good cars. End of story.

Sure, there will always be the 911 down the street, the 03 KB'd cobra next door, and the 06 Z06 your dad's friend Bill has.

Oh, and bt dub, I'll race ya That is, assuming you've got nothing more than it appears...

i agree sorta

i just don't think that an m3 turbo kit should cost 10 grand when it is less complicated then a v8 kit.
that makes more power and is more complete and sells for 5-7

ohh and thats with stock internals... its not like it comes with low compression pistons or strong rods or anything.

don't hate too much on this guy...my 1st reaction was: "I agree"
just b/c there's "more to owning a ///M" than speed doesn't mean this guy is wrong

it should cost 10 grand, because you are not buying a turbo upgrade for a fucking legacy GT. you are paying premium for brand which carries heritage in racing, engineering, automotive excellence in just about every aspect. some people dont give a shit about it, some do....

Well, so part of it is that there are less BMW turbo kits that get purchased than there are Mustang kits, so there's economies of scale at play. But there are also other factors, forexample someone may need a higher level of craftsmanship, better response/drivability, durability and longetivity, in short, quality from an accessory for a BMW to be satisfied than the average Ford owner... Kind of like what they wanted from the car to begin with eh?

^^ I didn't have an M Coupe previously (the aforementioned red one...). Although, I'd love to have one.

There is a guy aroudn here, I think his name is Scott, who's selling one. It's posted over on NC Euro.

But I've had this car since I got rid of the T/A.
