i had the mongolian beef and that was awesome, the ribs were also good

I think PF Chang's is good for lunch, and Kanki is good for dinner...HOWEVER, if I was in Raleigh, I wouldn't eat at either place, because of so many other excellent places for the same price. 1/25/2006 1:04:30 AM |

Kanki = Japanese food PF Chengs = Americanized Chinese food
big fucking difference it's like comparing NC bbq to Texas bbq technically it's both bbq, but we all know there is a HUGE difference
back to Kanki/PF Chengs yeah, it's both asian style food huge difference, is all I'm saying
I don't even feel like it's fair to compare the two.. to me they're totally different. Plus unless you goto Kanki for lunch, their food is really expensive, and you've gotta sit at a table with a bunch of other people you don't know. 1/25/2006 1:07:30 PM |

^^^^ Well actually they do. There are a number of places I saw in Tokyo that serve food this way but the menu items are slightly different and a little less show. There it is called teppanyaki.

I didn't say that Kanki wasn't americanized (or that teppanyaki was traditional) --you put words in my mouth. I was just responding to Quote : | "you mean chefs in japan dont flip eggs around and set their grill on fire?!?!" | and saying in fact they DO.1/25/2006 5:50:45 PM |
