Arsenal tried to acquire Wright-Phillips but chelsea bought him out. And he still doesn't play very much.


but the point is: there are only so many great english players. if other teams have them, and you want to try and compete at the top of the EPL, you have to go to the foreign market.

once again, really????????????

when he was given shit for his 'dive' a couple of weeks ago, just about every announcer and half-time presenter defended him as one of the toughest small-men in the game; a player that seldomly resorts to such tactics.

and I, living in england (and def. not a chelsea fan), have watched him play a great number of games over the last 2 years and the kid is a class act (and so is his brother)

Its club Soccer, and yes although people have made the champions and uefa leagues into national pride contests, not one team has enough domestic players to warrant that kind of crap.

He hasn't really played that much this year i think (maybe 6-8 games ?)

I feel bad for Castle, they've really been screwed as of late.

One game i did see him play in, he did well for being out so much. His timing was a bit off though, and was called os quite a bit.
