Wake would still be a good matchup, if we're strong on D and play good team offense.

What we can't do is let them spread us out and play 1-on-1.

I am not all that disappointed in playing Wake because:

1. It is difficult for one team to beat another twice within a week.
2. If we had played FSU, history has shown that beating the same team 3 times in a season is also difficult to do.
3. The only reason Wake beat us was because it was senior day at Wake and they were fired up, Williams played his best game of the season, and we shot 4-29 on 3s.
4. Gray still is missing way too many threes (even today against FSU).

I think FSU would have been playing with the thought that they could punch their ticket to the dance with a win over us and would have been very motivated/energized to beat us. Wake still knows they have no shot to go to the tourny unless the win the ACC tourny.

We only played them once this year and won 86-64. Even the game here when we beat Wake it was close. I wanted FSU. Oh well. Lets kick Wake's ass like last year.

Yeah, I'm pulling for upsets in games 1 and 3, but I'd still be surprised if they actually happened.

Duke in a slump is still good enough to beat Miami.
I'm praying that State finally regroups and plays its game.
UVA's backcourt is better than UNC's, but I think their frontcourt will be overwhelmed.
And I don't think Maryland is good enough to pull off a win against BC.

There's such a huge gap between the top 4 and the rest of the league this year...

I dunno Dave. I like Maryland's chances tonight. They beat BC the only time they played or at least beat them once I cannot remember if they played twice. Gary Williams has been here time and time again and BC is in their first ACC tourney. Ill take Maryland 70-68 or so.
