Can someone explain the draw to this game? I've read up on it, and it just doesn't seem that interesting to me... I'm willing to believe I'm just missing something, but I guess it's always possible that it's just not up my alley. But I'm definitely curious.

All I've seen as far as gameplay is random creatures bouncing around a circular arena not doing anything. I haven't seen any gameplay on actually evolving anything...

In the creature stage I tried to take on an epic with my team of 3 rogues (the 250 hp guys). He one hit killed each of them, got him to around 800 before they all died and I ran. I dont think its possible to kill one with the exception of spitting over and over and over.

I like making vehicles and creatures but buildings don't do it for me. Not sure why, I don't find them very fun.

I originally set this up on a laptop that wasn't built for gaming/had a crappy graphics card, and the graphics were so bad that I couldn't enjoy it.

I got my dual-boot setup last night and the game looks and runs great. Only downside for me is that it seems to progress really quickly, bit worried that I'll finish running through it and lose interest. But what I have played has been really fun.

Space is huge. Absolutely ridiculously huge. The rest of the game will probably be 1% of your time if you don't speed through space.

I wasted a ton of time in the creature world getting everything to level 5 and wiping out most of the other species, but I still wasn't able to kill any of the epic monsters by that point

not sure if maybe when you get to the civ stage you can start sending "armies" towards them or what

Very cool to have level 5 jump and glide, and just soar around the map, lol

When in creature mode, there are some huge creatures that have 1,000 hp, and unless I wanted to sit there and spam "spit" for 15 minutes I couldn't kill it

I'm in the civ stage now (tribal stage was pretty easy) and i'm being bombarded all of a sudden. I agree though, for some reason I'm not into making my buildings, but building my creature was fun.

I take that back

just build lots and lots of ships with high powered weapons

if you just react on land where you have to, but be proactive in the water, you can take out 90% of the cities from your ship.

Blew through it once I figured that out.

Now I'm on the space portion, and I can't believe how much just opened up. Flying take a tiny bit to get used to though.

From what I've seen of the space stage, you really need to establish trade routes and make allies early to bump up your evolution level, and then you can work on destroying the entire universe, lol

because right now I attempted to take over a planet, and was completely crushed

Yeah Civ mode isnt all that fun. I'm enjoying everything else. Unfortunately you have to play through all the other modes before space mode so you can get the good bonuses.
