I mean, I know it's all opinion, but how can you seriously think that they wouldn't have been the team to beat the year kenyon martin got hurt? they were a lock for a #1 seed until he went down. They would've rolled through the tourney. KM was DOMINANT that year.

2 of Ohio's best high school players O.J. Mayo and Bill Walker(both juniors) have said they would seriously consider following Huggins to whatever school he ends up coaching at as long as its not a raw program. They'd probably leave after the first year anyway for the NBA but this change anyone's mind about Huggins coming here?

you might not be happy about this, but we would be making it to elite 8's and final fours i know that much.

You have got to be kidding me. Herb has a better NCAA record than Huggins.

Look up Bobby's NCAA record. Overrated regular seasons in the weak C-USA, underachieve in NCAAs.

Not saying Im for going after Huggins to replace Herb, but it does seem he would be better in recruiting.

Yeah and then we are on probation for another 10 years because of his recruiting violations.

He really is not that great of a coach.

If he was, some of these big programs would be looking at him regardless of his image.

Since both got in trouble for DUI's, is Eddie Sutton's image just as tarnished as Huggins? or did Huggins have more troubles?

ATLANTA - Former Cincinnati coach Bob Huggins, who sat out the past year after being forced out at Cincinnati, has accepted the Kansas State job, according to sources close to the situation.

Terms of the deal were not known and calls to Huggins were not immediately returned.
"It's a done deal," said the source.

The official announcement could come as early as Thursday, a source said.

Huggins, 52, led Cincinnati to 14 straight NCAA tournament appearances and a Final Four in 1992. He was forced out in August after 16 seasons with the Bearcats and accepted a $3 million buyout.

Huggins replaces Jim Wooldridge, who was 15-13 this past season at Kansas State.

Huggins is also expected to bring 7-foot-1 senior big man Jason Bennett of Arlington Country Day (Fla.) with him and he will likely be in the mix for two of the nation's top juniors — O.J. Mayo and Bill Walker from North College Hill (Ohio).

STFU about Huggins. No rumor no more. He's officially the coach of Kansas State.

What a powerhouse!
