Quote :
"nc state is currently has one of the most profitable basketball programs in the country."

That could be said for any acc school b/c of revenue sharing.

^Ummm no. Find the list on here somewhere. I think NC State was the 4th most profitable basketball program right behind UNC.

What revenue sharing are you talking about???

He wasn't being specific, all acc schools could be considered some of the most profitable in the country, depending on what you mean by most profitable.

Big time alumni are fine and dandy but all it takes is 500 wolfpack club donors at the state level to say "to hell with this" and out the door with them goes $150,000 a year from the bottom line.

^^the money gets pooled and split up equally (not exactly equally, but within a million dollars of each other). i'm not sure whether or not it includes individual gate revenue, but i'm pretty sure it includes television contracts, NCAA money, and most bowl money. then you've got the official car, the official bank, the official grocery store, the official cell phone, etc of The ACC.

Point is NC State was 4th in the country in the amount of revenue. UNC was 3rd and I think Duke was like 6th. NO OTHER ACC TEAM WAS IN THE TOP 10. But carry on.....

I would consider the top 50 to be the most profitable in the country, considering the number of schools in the country. I don't know for sure, but I would bet the all the acc schools are in the top 50, along with most big east, big 10, and sec schools. That is just how its set up, it really doesn't have much to do with how good your team is.

btw, could you post a link to this list?

We are 4th on the list. UNC is 3rd. ONLY ACC teams.

Revenue sharing does not help that much.

During his first 13 seasons, John Wooden lost in the first round of the NCAA tournament every time he made it, and he only made it like 3 times.

They are having a meeting in the next 2 weeks in greensboro.-all the wolfpack club people. a lot aren't happy, a lot are and like herb. we will see how it plays out in the next 5 years until then. GO pack in football and every sport!
