i keep defending the 360 cuz they've done a good job perfecting some of the old tech (like i said in the other thread). the 360 controller is probably one of the best ever. xbox live has set the bar for console multiplayer and the new marketplace is great. it doesnt have a ton of great games, but theres enough for the time being.

until i see something diff from sony though, they're just being lame. they've been riding on their massive game library and support since ps1.

when ps1 originally introduced the analog controller, the handles were extended so that man could actually hold onto it

then dual shock came out and we reverted back to jap hand standards

x-box came close to fixing this problem, but then they tucked tail too

i have 4 xbox large controllers and loved them, but i must say that after using the 360 one i have a hard time going back. between the S and the regular xbox controllers it just put the strain on a diff part of your hand, it wasnt any better.

that said, the dual shocks were terrible for any game requiring both sticks and (especially) all the triggers. not to mention the seperated thumb-raping d-pad.


as far as nintendo goes, you call it innovation, i call it a gimmick. that said, it should be fun, but i dont think it will be most gamers main system. just a guess.

the zelda, metriod, smash bro and a few other series will keep me with nintendo (re4 was good too, but that may have been for multiple systems like xmen legends & a few other games i enjoyed on gamecube). their DS did well too i think, but i didn't get one of those. i'm considering getting a revolution when it comes out though.

the xbox360 controller is one of the best ever according to ign...and me. it really is a comfy mix between the old xbox controller and something a bit smaller (i guess it is just a tweaked controller s).

ignoring blatant shitty controllers like the jaguar, the dreamcast was worse than the original xbox controller. the only gripe i had with the original one was the buttons cuz they hurt your fingers.

Its that Nintendo decided to make it a big part of their system then Sony said "Durr, lets just throw one of those in our console also to make it super l337z0r.
