The fallout has already started over this. People are really going off about it on all of the message boards, and a lot of people were calling in on 850 this afternoon pretty pissed. I know they want to get prices up there with the big teams, but I don't think anyone saw a jump this big coming.

We have the cheapest tickets in the NHL by far. Heck, you can pay $65 for a seat in Dallas what you pay $28 for in Raleigh.

For the non-exclusive games, the regional network can also broadcast the game as well. I think its safe to say FOX Sports Net South will carry any playoff game they can, although Ive yet to find any listings confirming that. So most likely we will not get the OLN-HD broadcasts of Games 5-7.

Actually, I agree on NBC being the best of he HD netowrk channels. My dad and I were noticing it during the Boston/NYR game at the end of the season.

BTW, tickets for seats similar to mine in Ottawa are $200 cheaper across the whole playoffs, and that's not even considering the Canadian conversion rate.

OLN does not have a 24 hour HD channel. Their high definition programming (which is limited to hockey I believe) is available on inHD or inHD2. Not all of the first round OLN-HD games made it to inHD, however...this may have been partially because of conflicts with NBATV-HD broadcasts which take precedent. Although the on-screen guide does not list it, inhd.com lists Game 2 on inHD2 and Game 3 on inHD. Now if only FSN South steps up with some HD coverage for Games 5-7 (also available on inHD if it happens, FYI).

Man, i can't believe I'm saying this but I actually wish the FSN guys were announcing this.

These guys spent all that time talking about the Devil's 15 game winning streak and that momentum, then after Carolina scores the first goal one of them says "That's what the playoffs are about. When the next round starts everything is set back to zero. You may play well in the series before but now there are new matchups, new tactics, blah blah." Too much unnecessary chatter too.
