these writers are DESPERATE for material

first they have youtube and then as i'm thinking about something hilarious to say about what cliche they will have next, we see the previews for later and damned if they didnt hint at liz being a victim of organ harvesting.

i mean i'm still gonna watch, but what cliche will they break out next? somebody saying i'm rick james bitch? or maybe a muslim/middle easterner who they suspect as a terrorist?

Don't watch if you have that many issues with it.

I think things like YouTube are great to incorporate into the show. Afterall, the demographic that uses YouTube the most is the exact same one that tunes into Nip/Tuck.

It makes the audience feel like they have something in common and it makes it seem more real.

On another note....

I think the stressing at the window with the baby scene was a bit overdone.

despite how stressed you are about your newborn childs "handicapability", you are still more happy that the child and wife made it through delivery than you are stressed about the deformed fingers.

Fortunately for me, nothing was wrong with my child or wife when my daughter was born, but if it had been, I would still have been releived it was all over with.

I watched tonight for the first time.

I'm not sure yet how everything fits in, but getting to see Mario Lopez in the buff is a good way to start a new tv addiction.

the theme of the first season of this show resonated with "what don't you like about yourself"

after that, the having stuff in common and reality aspect of the show flew out the window

the second season became "wow, this is probably the most fucked up show on cable television"

the third season was a long drawn out extension of the second season with a shitty attempt at mystery and suspense

and this season is actually weaker than the previous two seasons due to the mystery and thriller aspect of the show being gone

now its just sex, lies and how high on the weird-shit-o-meter can we go this week---which the show's always been...its just lacking in the moral dilemma/connection to the audience aspect now

It feels like I don't even care what happens to the characters any more. Season 1 and 2 I did, but now I wouldn't be surprised if someone major died, and really, I wouldn't care THAT much. Except Christian maybe. That guy still rocks.
