Well there is a new director for both the marching band, and the pep band this year. Dr. Paul Garcia is taking over those, and from what I hear, many of the people in the band like him a lot. I think I remember someone on here saying he was the one that had the idea for the mini-concert that was done during the Clemson game. He might like some of these new ideas for new songs that can be played by both the marching and pep bands. His email address is paul_garcia@ncsu.edu. I liked how at the Reynolds game during "Hey Baby", Ms. Wuf got up there on the directors stand and teased Mr. Wuf who was pleading for her love. Great show, and would love to see them do it each time.

I wish more students would join in with the Pep Band when they lean back and forth doing the Nnnnn, Ccccc, Staaaate, N. C. STATE chant. Also why does the trumpets only go to two sides now during the Fast Fight Song. I distinctly remember them going to all three sides before going to back to the fourth side.

it has to do with how long the time out is. Since it's done at an official time out, there's always time to do the two sides. For televised games when the official time outs are TV time outs and thus are much longer (ACC/BIG TEN challenge vs. Michigan) they did 3 sides, as I remember doing it to 3 sides at the end of the year last year.
