I think it's gonna take Sidney awhile to learn to recruit effectively, even with Hunter on staff.

This class is probably a lost cause anyways due to the late start and the NCAA no-contact rule-until-you-pass-the-test thing Lowe had to go through.

Hopefully he can get some solid players and develop them into something great. He just needs to be able to coach... recruiting will take care of itself in a few years.

please don't say that we ran coach V out like herb because that is just wrong. Sendek didn't get run out of town here he decided to leave instead of making some needed adjustments that would take NC State to a level above where we were. Coach V was great and everyone loved him, he just got fucked for some reason that I can't remember that put us on probation. Sendek is a pretty decent coach and can take a team to a pretty good level but NC State isn't happy staying at that level so he left instead of taking the challenge of competing with UNC and Duke and actually winning on a big level. So in short having ASU recruting threads and talking about sendek and his ASU sun devils is just silly.

I think they have a good shot at finishing in the top third of the Pac10 this year. Next year they will be a legitimate threat for the conference title. 5 years from now I would not be the least bit surprised to see ASU in the Elite8 or Final Four (a Senior backcourt of McMillan and Harden will likely be one of the absolute best in the country). I'm eager to see two guards of this pedigree develop the defensive presence that Sendek has a knack for bringing out in lesser talent.

FWIW, ASU is going to be a squad NCSU fans pay attention for awhile. Hell, people STILL talk about Damien Wilkins and he has long since severed ties to NCSU. TYou know damn well that if Sendek's start at ASU was heading in the opposite direction people would be flaming that shit up hardcore. Hell, when the Kreuger transfer bit first hit is posted and reposted and joked about. People do care, just that seeing Sendek clearly succeed (and at our own expense) is burning the haters up deep down.
