The part that bothers me the most about this is that Isreal is bombing another country and blocking Lebanon's ports. And think that there will not be a response by the other country.

I can't see why the U.S. is backing Isreal for its actions, when Isreal is clearly in the wrong for bombing Lebanon first without trying to resolve the situation peacefully and diplomatically.

Does anyone know what is the U.S. connection with Isreal other than the U.S. was the first to acknowledge Isreal as a country.
