Nail meet head. I watched this for the first time (missed the 1st ep) and was sorely let down. WTF is it? A TV show about a TV show? I felt like I was wasting my life even MORESO than "normal" shows. I just don't want to watch such a "heavy" show about some folks making an SNL-like comedy show, there's just no "fun" in that to me. I might try it once more but I'm probably done w/ this one.

Hopefully its ratings crash, unlike the NBS show. Oh, the irony.

I watched the first two episodes and this show just feels like they are trying too hard. The dialogue is rough at best. They are trying to be biting, quick, and sometimes witty, but it comes out forced and dry (Peet especially). The idea is fair, but as someone mentioned before "who cares about a TV show about a TV show." If im going to watch TV, they better be bringing something more interesting than this.

I do, as do alot more people on this site and in the TV audience (though apparantly the Horatio Caine suck fest gets more viewers), so this argument fails to tell why its a "bad show"

so you don't like it. big deal, move on, theres many other shows on at 10pm on Monday night.

Agreed,and alot of the people on here feel the same way Halo. I think what really bothers me as they advertised it as a "hit show" before it even came on. Walt pretty much summed up the way I, and a lot of people feel about this show. Its got about 2-3 more eps to try and land me or I am gone.

i watched it tonight

i enjoyed it but i don't think i'd watch it again.

it has a nice type of humor to it and tonight's episode had some drama to keep the viewer anxious to see what happened with the plagiarized material but other than that, i had to like really focus to catch on to their quick dialogues, i didn't really like the speed (things were way too fast - you need some breathing time and pauses), etc.

I really liked last night's episode. And I like that we get to see some of the skits. Obviously it shouldn't turn into a skit type show, but I for one like a small amount of them in there.

i really liked the closing scene on the balcony with sting playing in the background. i give Danny and Harriet one maybe two episodes before theyre back together.

Show tonight was really good. The whole "black writing" was excellently done...b/c most blk comics are pretty much like Willy Wil...boring mundane IMO discussing big booty ho's, drugs & alcohol, and fighting one another...was funny for a minute....but damn - everyone says the same jokes now

i've watched every episode and was pretty much disappionted in every one except for the second (or was it third?) and THEN they had that dumbass montage at the end and ruined their only good episode.

i never could really get into west wing for whatever reason , but I am liking this show. I like when I get an occasional glimpse of a skit and I think that the studio 60 skits are funnier than SNL skits.

I've never disliked a show that I watch regularly more than Studio 60. it's just terrible. it's over-wrought, forced, and condescending. it's really awful. and yet, I'm probably going to keep watching.

yeah i just read that it was a one night only thing. They are really trying to find the right time slot for FNL to reach out to more people. I love the show so i am really hoping it doesnt die.

I watched the first two episodes and then quit this show. I felt like I was wasting my time. What about Brian is on at the same time and I enjoy that show thoroughly.

As for you guys that are fans of the show, I'd be a little worried. Ratings have dropped every week and last week was around 7.7 million viewers I think. If that trend continues the show's history...
