This really sucks I can't beleive they couldn't even get the appearance of the ticket right. The only diffrence I can see is the seat number, so now they probably will have to look at those to make sure the ticket is not a duplicate of the primary student ticket or set the scanners to detect the difference.

Athletics has been made aware of the problem with the guest tickets. As soon as a solution is reached I will post it on the Wolf Web.

Students can now use Gates 10A 10B and 11 to enter the stadium this year. Last football season students could enter through Gate 10 and 12 so students will still be walking to the same general area to enter but instead of everyone just crowding at Gate 10 we will have two consecutive gates. Athletics are also installing a new gated perimeter around these gates so hopefully the chaos will be cut down from last year.

In case all of this is too confusing there will be students walking around distributing flyers with a map and list of general rules before the game.

Well, the bar code numbers are also different. But I agree that the people scanning the things might not be understanding.

The people scanning the tickets work in teh athletics department...they will understand

All they have to do is to look for the print guest ticket line at the top of the ticket (all the tickets that are suppose to be guest tickets have them. Furthermore, the original student ticket has the line print student ticket at the top of the ticket. They will just need to check to see what the top of the ticket states then they can just scan the ticket to make sure it's not a duplicate or has already been scanned, this will cut down on people sneaking in/defrauding the ticket office. In addition, only the ticket that states "print student ticket" will need a corresponding student id.

I have just been informed by Athletics that they are looking into the problem with the guest tickets but everyone will be fine for this game. So there is no need to worry, your guest will be able to attend this game.

except you don't need the whole page. a lot of people cut out the ticket.

do the guest tickets have your name on them the same as your ticket does?

For those with student wolfpack club tickets, since we don't have barcodes on our tickets, do we still have to go through gates 10a, 10b, or 11, or can we go through any of the gates? Last year, none of the event 1 staff knew what was going on, and they kept on sending us from a student gate to a non-student gate.

last year i just went in any gate, sometimes they said go to student gate but i just kept going gate to gate until they let me in...sometimes they would just tear the ticket and not even look to see if it was a student ticket or not

SWPC can go into any gate, and I would advise that you go in a non-student gate...

I know someone that just graduated in May 06 and for some reason still has access to get tickets and was able to get one for this game. He also got one for his girlfriend that also graduated in May 06. Is this is really possible? Just thought I would let you know Adam123 cause I don't think its fair for people that didnt even get tickets.

Parking passes for the first game against App. State can be picked up at Reynolds Coliseum this Thursday (8/31) from 10am-1pm.

If your guest ticket printing out as a regular student ticket all you need to do it login again and reprint your guest ticket. It will now print as a guest ticket.

This happened w/ bball last year, and people almost wanted to kill me because they figured they should still be able to get bball tickets in Feb even though they graduated in December. That particular situation was resolved on Feb 23, because that's when REG/RECORDS flushed the accounts. Basically, REG/RECORDS has to flush the accounts when they do the student census, so people who graduated in May prob will still be able to get tickets until October. It sucks, but I haven't seen a solution that is possible yet.

heads up

i just got an e-mail saying to reprint my guest tickets to get the correct image. the new guest tickets say "GUEST TICKET" instead of "STUDENT TICKET" like they should. make sure you get rid of your incorrect guest ticket so you don't try to use that one at the gate.

i thought all students got tickets before guest tickets were handed out? a buddy of mine didn't get a ticket (or his guest tickets) while many people got their student ticket + guest tickets.

So, I didnt get a ticket in claim period 1.... Does that mean that I might get my ticket and the guest ticket I requested in claim period 2?

Also, I think it sucks that guest tickets get priority over students...

They should just let students who sign up by the first period date have access to all the tickets, and then if there are leftovers, give them to guests requests and then to on demand people who dont care enough to sign up on time.....

Then once they know who is getting tickets and who isnt, give out the actual tickets with seating assignments so that students with guests can sit with them.
